Who are your top additions you would like to see the Vikings sign. Mine are:
1.Rey Maualuga-ILB
2.Sean Smith-CB
3.Greg Jennings-WR
Highly unlikely the Vikings could sign all three, but a guy can dream can't he? _________________

1. Brandon Gibson - WR - St. Louis
2. Matt Moore - QB - Miami
3. Greg Toler - CB - Arizona
Maualuga is a terrible fit - might as well re-sign Brinkley _________________

Not a snowball's chance in hell, but like you said, a boy can dream, right? _________________

Maualuga is great against the run, he can go out when we go in the nickle package... _________________

Maualuga is absolutely horrible. I think it would make more sense to either resign Brinkley or move Erin Henderson to MLB. Maualuga would only be a stop gap at MLB. Heck even Urlacher would be a better option than him.
1. Jon Beason MLB
2. Jarius Byrd FS
3. Justin Durant OLB
4. Andy Levitre LG _________________

So why pay money for a name instead of signing our own guy who does the same thing? _________________

2. Greg Jennings
3. Brian Hartline
1 tech. DT:
1. Sammie Hill
2. Terrance Knighton
3. Ricky Jean-Francois
OLB:
1. DeAndre Levy
2. Thomas Howard
3. Keith Rivers _________________

Mine would be in this order:
1) Andy Levitre, LG, Buffalo - Levitre is a road grader for AD.
2) Mike Wallace, WR, Pittsburgh - Stretches the field for AD.
3) Glenn Dorsey, DT, KC - improves our d-line rotation
The only reason I want Wallace over Jennings is for the blazing speed Wallace has over Jennings. If Wallace wants to much I would be happy with Jennings. I believe the most important concept for the Vikings to accomplish would be to stretch the field and give AD a shot at another 2,000+ yards this upcoming season.
Then we can get a LB and WR in the first 2 rds followed by EJ Manuel in the 3rd The 4th round I would snag safety TJ McDonald, USC.
I believe this to be a very productive off season and very reasonable to obtain
*well 2 out of the 3 FA's that is. _________________

Being Realistic:
Derek Cox: above average starter who won't command starter money because of his injury history
Sammie Lee Hill: buried on the depth chart behind all the talent at DT in Detroit, I have a feeling he would be an excellent fit here; also won't command too much cash.
Brian Hoyer: Solid backup QB who would give us a chance to win if Ponder went down....I would love Moore here, but I think he will go somewhere where he has a chance to compete. Same with Stanton. |

1. Henry Melton
2. Jarius Byrd
3. Andy Levitre
Also, is Beason officially a free agent then, or are people just assuming he'll be released eventually due to Kuechly?
Also #2, I agree with rpmwr, why in the world would we want Maualuga? He's terrible, one of the few MLBs in the league that's actually worse than Brinkley. |

id love Beason personally, but i doubt the Panthers release him. Beason seems willing to play WLB and id guess they agree on a pay cut before they release him. The Panthers do have salary cap issues, so perhaps they cut Thomas Davis instead and let Beason take his spot. _________________

I like the idea of it... But there is no way we will land Moore. Frazier and spielman already told the media they aren't bringing on competition for ponder and that he is the starter. Moore is the best FA QB outside of flacco who isn't going anywhere. With Moore knowing ponder is the clear cut starter he won't want to come here. Also he knows he could start at Arizona, KC, and NYJ.
Outside of that I wouldn't mind toler or gibson _________________
