how has Richard Pitino been doing? I haven't heard much on recruiting...anyone care to give a brief summary/analysis?

He's been in the mix with some high-level recruits, but has fallen a little short (which might have something to do with the fact that he hasn't had the time to build significant enough relationships with some of them)

Wild season starts tonight, and they just extended Jason Pominville for 5 years at $28 total ($5.6 per year average)

Excited for both of these reasons.

Pominville was a must extend given the assets used to acquire him.

The Twins have added Paul Molitor to their major league coaching staff. This is likely a move that will put him as manager in two years, and Gardy will retire in two years.

I think he'd make a great successor to Gardenhire. Of the current staff I always though Brunansky would be the next guy up.

I'm still trying to figure out why Brunansky is a hitting coach. He's about as bad a player to learn the art of hitting from as Mark McGwire. It's no wonder that the team struck out as often as it did this year, considering that was him as a player.

I didn't know Bruno was on the Twins' staff. What's his role?

I had multiple tabs open and the five minutes between our posts elapsed before I posted my question. Now, if I only had a flux capacitor, that could have been avoided.

A simple page refresh would have done the trick too, but it's a far less sexy solution. Smile

This is the signature win we've been looking for. Kill has this program going in the right direction.

I don't remember but it's been awhile. Kill was 0-7 versus ranked teams coming in.
