RandBall ‏@RandBall 11m
#gophers announce WR Devin Crawford-Tufts will not play football this year while he focuses on track and field.

How many players have left the Gophers now...?

I never got GopherNation's infatuation with DCT. He is fast but that's it. I'm glad, leaves reps for some of the young guys coming in.

It's less the players ability, and more the fact that there seems to be a revolving door of players leaving for one reason or another.

Not that many really. And even the one who went all manifesto last year is back at the U, even though he's not playing football.

And as others have stated, Crawford-Tufts always seemed to be more hype than production. He is more track athlete than ever was a football player. It just opens the door for one of the younger players, like Eric Carter (who I have high hopes for).

It's been reported that we've traded 1B Justin Morneau to the Twins for AAA outfielder Alex Presley of the Pittsburgh Pirates

KFAN just reported that a player to be named later has been added.

Dustin Morse ‏@Twins_morsecode 1m
CONFIRMED: The @Twins trade Justin Morneau to the #Pirates for OF Alex Presley & a player to be named later. #MNTwins

Judd Zulgad ‏@1500ESPNJudd 23s
Twins just confirmed the Morneau trade to Pitt in a press release. It's for outfielder Alex Presley and a player to be named later or cash.

At least the Pohlads get more money to add to the pile, and the Twins have two more bad players to keep on teh 40 man roster! Yay!

That does free up $14 million next year. Hopefully they'll use it wisely.

Landed his first '14 recruit. A 2-star PF from Washington. Highly athletic player with a high ceiling and long wingspan.

He was also being recruited by Pitt, Florida State, and Oklahoma State.
