I can get behind the free agency except for Pat chung, i personally dont feel he is that good. I dont like the Ansah pick, the more I read about him I dont think he is a fit as a 3-4 OLB. I like Gholston but I feel he could be had a round later. I like sims, he injury past scares me though. as for the rest I can live with it _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

I think Ansah looks to be a terrible fit as a 34 OLB, and far too much of a project to be selected at 6. _________________

Both of Walter's mocks have Ansah going to the Brown's because Lombardi likes bigger o.l.b's. Could be something to it. Also Tony Grossi said today there is a surprise defensive player the Browns are considering at pick 6. Don't know if this is true or not. Right away I thought Ansah or Kenny Vaccaro the safety. _________________ browns and indian fan 7272

I been hearing Ansah has a very high ceiling & is in the Aldon Smith JPP type of athletic combine #s.
I have #1 Dee Milliner for us & then #2 Pass Rush & have Ansah tied with Jarvis Jones for best 3/4 OLB. With the combine to etermine who I would want more. Ansah would have to be marginally better than him in the bench reps & 40 time to get the nod. |

On ansah. How can a guy that played 34 OLB not be a fit as a 34 OLB? _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Patrick Chung is not good. He is the only thing I hate about this mock...and not a big fan of Ansah necessarily. I think he's like the 4th best OLB in this draft class.
1. Jarvis Jones
2. Dion Jordan
3. Barkevious Mingo
4. Ezekiel Ansah
5. Damontre Moore
So while I don't think Ansah will be a bust or anything like that, I would just rather have gotten one of the other guys at that spot. |

Moore Werner tied Mingo & Ansah then tied Motgomery & Okafer. Don't like Jones or Jordan in my top 5. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I think Jarvis Jones is the safest pick. He will be solid for a very long time. He just doesn't have the potential of some of the other guys to dominate.
I don't think Werner can translate to 3-4 OLB. He doesn't have the edge bending athleticism necessary. He'd be what we have in Sheard on the other side...two guys who can't cover anybody.
I am not a Damontre Moore fan. I think he will be good against the run and average against the pass. He isn't the freak we need opposite Sheard. I want a guy who can make splash plays and I don't see that from Damontre Moore.
Dion Jordan will probably be the guy who makes the most plays from the OLB position. Will he hold up against the run like an elite OLB? Probably not, but he will be very good in coverage and can bend the edge. |

1 He is the riskiest as he is the smallest and has health issues and is 24.
2 The guy rsuhed from a 2 point stance and dropped in coverage as 43 DE. What more do you want out of the guy?
3 The guy beasted vs the SEC and has experiance in the 34 and 43. Whats not not to like?
4 IF he is a 43 SAM yes. in the 34 no. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

After watching some film and reevaluating the pass rushers I'm prepared to say that Ansah is not the best fit for our Defense.
As beastly as a pass rusher as he could be, I think Dion Jordan best exemplifies what we need. Our OLB core would be dynamic with Jordan across from Sheard.
I especially like this pick if we grab a player like Quanterus Smith or Gholston in the later rounds.
Currently at #6 I would go:
1. Jordan, OLB
2. Milliner, CB
3. Ansah, OLB
4. Star, DE
5. Jones, OLB _________________

He's definitely a project, but not a fit? 3-4 OLB is easily the role he fits best in the NFL.
I would probably still take Jordan/Moore over Ansah at this point. _________________

Watching him was the biggest surprise ever for me. I expected to see a hyped up freak who lacks not only stats but also game being raw and everything. My jaw dropped to the floor watching him play: relentless motor, versatile, 100% team player, lining up EVERYWHERE in the front 7 (a lot on the nose too, that's why his stats suffered) and he STILL has incredible upside left, but I also see a decent floor already. This dude can play day 1 and yeah, he's a big guy that can run (and hit). I really think he's a top 10 guy on many boards already and all the internet boards will "catch up" after the combine when stuff will be "rumored." He will put on a show this weekend. He's so good, I would not know what to do if both him and Moore were still there at 6 _________________

Ansah is a 34 OLB and Gholsten IMO has the frame to add some size and be a very good 34 DE. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!
