Chip is just making sure the Eagles FO sends a little thanks to Dixon for his time at Oregon being trimmed a little short.  Not a bad gig though.

What are the chances of Dixon actually making the team? Over-Under 50%?
I think it will be between Edwards/Dixon for the 3rd string spot as of now. If Foles gets traded, than you can count Edwards as good as cut and the Eagles to draft another dual threat Q. I'm gonna say due to his experience within the system/Chip and the chance of us carrying 3 Q's that he'll make it as our 3rd stringer and battle for 2nd team. Def. over 50%

Over 50% if we don't draft a QB.
I see no reason for Chip to want to keep Trent Edwards around.

Yeah I agree with Edwards. Dixon signing was writing on the wall for Trent. We definitely need to draft another dual threat Q if Foles is gone cause our starters ( vick & dixon) are as good as counted out half the season due to injury. If Foles stays and we draft a mobile Q in let's say rd. 6 or 7 I wonder what would happen with Dixon then, could battle the rook out for 3rd team but would prob lose.
