The Panthers are 13 million above the cap and due to contracts they can't keep both of their running backs and due to how much releasing Stewart would hurt against their cap this year and the next it looks like Williams will be released and actually save them money on their cap.
I would love to have this guy running in the dome all year long what are you guys opinions on going after Williams if he is released remember he is 29 years old but exactly what type of running back we need a speedy guy that can catch outof the backfield I say if he is free then this is the guy that would fit us best!

| i love him when he was coming out of Memphis. but as of right now, idk. hes gettin up there in age and i really like the RBs in this draft. i might have to pass unless he takes a really cheap deal. |

He might to win a Championship and he has shared carries for almost the whole time he has been there so i think we go get him and load up on the defense side in the draft!! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

i think Eddie Lacy in the 2nd would be a better option right now. |

I would kill to have Jonathan Stewart. Dude is a man-child, looking forward to seeing him tear it up when fully healthy. (Except against us) Not a big fan of adding Williams, unless the price is right. _________________

Won't last that long. He will be a top 40 pick IMO _________________

Williams is about to be on the wrong side of 30, dont need another tired RB
Stewart on the other hand would be a fantastic replacement for Turner _________________ formerly MadAtFalcons |

| If he came cheap enough, Williams could be a good stopgap guy if we draft a young back in the mid rounds. Stewart would be ok, but I'd rather draft a guy. |

I don't think we need to go out and get a big name in free agency, especially at a position so brutal as runningback. I feel like we have two quality guys in Snelling and Quizz. I'd like to go after a guy like Gillislee or Bell late in the draft and add one more to that rotation. It's not necessary to have a feature back to succeed in the run game as we've seen in New England. _________________

I agree that a RB in the draft is the best way to go. Fresher legs and less money in that postion is the way to go. If we sure up the Oline any RB late in the draft can come in and be very effective. Bell, Gillislee, Taylor are a few RB's that I think could be very good and we could get them in the 4th or 5th rounds. _________________

Jonathan Stewart will not be released if any are to be released if would be Williams due to contracts. Also I read that by giving Matt Ryan a Extension that would help with our cap not hurt it thus giving us more room under the cap! _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

| no way lacy falls to us in the 2nd.. our only shot at him would be take him in the first round which i'm not a fan of. There are a lot of good rb's in this draft - lacy, bernard, gillislee, taylor, bell... |

Put Franklin and Randle in there as well. I'm a fan of getting Taylor in the 3rd or Franklin in the 4th. _________________
