Buehler was out of the league in 2012, and is just 24-of-32 lifetime on field-goal attempts. He has a very big leg, however. There's an outside chance Buehler earns the Giants' kicking job, but they should end up re-signing free agent Lawrence Tynes |
This should make the many Tynes haters happy, as at least there be competition.
I hope we keep Tynes |

Tynes must want some money or we are just being safe. I'd like to see us go with a new kicker, but Tynes had an okay run here. Indifferent really. _________________

The most athletic Punter-Kicker duo ever?

I like him. strong leg, good on kickoffs _________________

Strong leg is the most important part ... Dude can hit it from 60+
Also he's the toughest kicker in the game, really nice when you need to onside it _________________

| Great to hear he has a strong leg. Tynes has been good with us, but his leg is not big enough. |

Big leg but not great accuracy. I'd guess he's been brought in as a nudge to Tynes, try to keep his contract down.
Having said that I hope we move on from Tynes. Hopkins in the 6th round perhaps _________________

Pretty cool video out there (sorry, don't have a link) on this guy, entitled
"David Buehler's Day Off". He fakes being sick and misses an entire day of training camp, just so's he can show Charlie Frye, the despondent QB, a day on the town. Pretty funny to watch the part where the Dallas coach, calling the roll, moans "Buehler?......Buehler?......Frye?" |

Dude is a beast, ran faster than Cushing and Matthews and benched more reps than Oher, Maualaga, and Monroe.
How is this guy only a kicker??? |

He may be an athlete, but I won't feel comfortable with this guy kicking field goals from anywhere. His accuracy is shaky, at best. Looks like a training camp body and/or kickoff specialist. _________________

Ditto. Love his ability to blast kickoffs and make tackles (played some LB at USC), but as far as our FG kicker... _________________ W O R L D C H A M P I O N S '86, '90, '07, '11 |
