The Eagles hired Tom Gamble to become their vice president of player personnel, the team announced Wednesday.

Seems like a good move to me, if the success of the 49ers is any indication.

Must be a truly horrible interviewer. He seemed like the top choice for any GM openings.

You guys still have sandwiches left over after Reid's departure?

More like we finally have food to go around. Andy Reid drafted undersized players with undersized appetites for a reason. Laughing

Yep. He reportedly bombed his interview with the Jets. He was the clear favorite prior to that.

Something smells fishy...

Why would you take a lateral move from a team close to the SB to a 4-12 team? Maybe he likes building sucky teams? I don't know, just seems weird. Maybe he will get Howie's job down the road.

I really want to know what he said in the interviews. He was the cat's meow at the beginning of the offseason but since he went into the interviews no one would touch him with a 10 foot poll.

Going from director of player personnel to VP of player personnel implies that the Eagles are paying him more than the 49ers did. That might be it.

Eagles paid him better then every one else. and by the sound of it him and Howie Trollsmen were buds to begin with so money and friendship helps get things done. Cool
