at #6 Geno is available and he is BPA... I good with that. | you got that 1/2 right.
There is no way on god's green earth that geno is BPA @6 |
A more appropriate response might have been, "Im not a fan of Geno, so in my opinion he would not be bpa at #6." Then people can have a positive and constructive discussion with you, instead of devolving into arguments over personal biases. |
Ok Geno played in the same conference with the same OC as Weeden and di worse though he is thought to be more athletically gifted. He had as good if not better overall targets as a group than weeden and did worse.
If Weeden and Smith came out in the same year. Weeden is a better pick than Geno.
BTW I am not a big Weeden honk. I just see Geno as having a career back up in NFL as his upside. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Good and bad qbs come out of every conference. That matters little either way.
WVU, especially their OL and defense, did not have the talent overall to compete with the BIG12 schools their first year in the conference - just as many thought before the season even began.
we have all seen highly successful college QBs FAIL at the nfl level, and not so successful college QBs be amazing in the nfl...
the experts thought Wilson/Kaepernick couldnt play and thought that the big fatty drafted by the Raiders could...
What ever team drafts him, then they believe he is the bpa for them - be it #1, #6, or #255? (Mr. Irrelevant). However as of right now nearly every major site lists Geno as the #1 overall pick, so predicting him as bpa at #6 should not be a stretch of the imagination.
My personal opinion on Geno is that he has most, if not all, the tools to succeed in the NFL, high character, has showed tremendous upside as a QB, loved by his teammates and coaches, and he is reported to be the hardest working player on the team when it comes to mental preparation. His biggest knock is that he does NOT like to get hit and that definitely shortens his reads and takes away from his accuracy when under pressure, and that when his team is down he will take too much on his shoulders and force the ball...
I think he has the chance to be a good qb in the nfl - if protected - but hoenstly your guess is as good as mine. _________________

@Gil_Brandt: Spoke w/ Geno Smith's rep, Jeff Nalley. Says Geno will do full workout at #NFLCombine. Good sign. Usually when one jumps in, others follow.

Geno Smith to Cleveland. What, is he visiting family or something?
Can't see the Browns drafting him unless he slides to their 3rd round pick. |

Good for him. I always thought opting out was a cop out... _________________
