Read a Scout.com report this morning saying the Vikes are looking to trade Harvin. Anyone interested in some kind of deal that would swap Miles and Harvin? Any other type of trade? If yes, what would the particulars be? If not, why not?
I think he is one of the best talents in the league, as far as him being a matchup nightmare and being able to lineup all over the field. However, I'm not sure I'm sold on him as an outside WIDE receiver, and apparently he has some authority issues, which is why the Vikes are looking to get rid of him. I would do the deal for the next year, and if he doesn't pan out, let him go. It would also relieve us of Miles contract and a player who never seems to be 100%. |

I suppose the next question is he a Jason Garrett right kind of guy?
I wouldn't personally go after him, even though he has great talent. He would cost too much and there's other holes on this team to fill. I would much rather continue the development of Dwayne Harris. _________________

No. He is talented, but his migraines tend to keep him off the field and he is a head case! _________________

| He's in the last year of his contract, and if Laurent Robinson received a big deal, imagine what Harvin will garner in 2014. It just doesn't make any sense to give up a decent draft pick for one year. He is 24. The only way I would be alright with trading for him, is if it was a 3rd round pick in 2014, he signs an extension, and we trade Ware. Basically, we go all in on offense, and resign to building our D through the draft. |

I wasn't interested in any picks actually. I was only interested if it involved Austin, as a replacement. Yes, he MAY get a huge offer, but guys with issues sometimes don't. Trading Ware should be on the table I think, but not in this case. |

I would finally like to have a receiver that does not get injured. No thanks to Harvin. We dont have the medical staff to attend Austin, Bryant and Harvin. _________________ Gmenseattle: "Yes Eli is the reason our season is going down the tubes."

I just don't get they hype with Harvin. He's a migraine prone diva who has no particularly defined skill set, who isn't as fast as advertised, and will be in the final year of his contract. He'd miss just as much time as our current WR with the exploding hamstrings. _________________

Have you ever seen me openly pursue a Wolverine? The only one whom I've ever said I wanted to draft was LaMarr Woodley. And he doesn't suck. Harvin does. _________________

| yes....are wide outs are divas...yes. Also very few wides outs these days stay healthy. He at least is a multi-dimensional player who is young and has not peaked. Will Harvin be injury prone wide out that may never pan out...maybe. Is he a old injury prone wide out that may never pan out...no. It's a better investment than galloway, johnson, glenn, T.O. I would trade Austin for harvin pretty quickly if you asked me just on Austin's age alone. FYI, I hate the gators/SEC outside of number 22 more than most. P.S. Go Bucks!!! and props to my man Eli Woodard/Apple (Eastern high school voorhees New Jersey) on being a top 10 cornerback prospect in the country. I coached him as a kid Also take the time so shout out our QB Tom Flacco for being the man...as well as an one of my other cornerbacks from eastern Logan Ryan out of Rutgers for being possible drafted in the first road....#justsaying... |
