Cardinals may be pursuing Drew Stanton which makes sense seeing as BA worked with him last yr. I assume he would be the back-up. And as the back-up he's the typical BA QB (strong arm, vertical passer).
This makes me believe that BA is sticking to his guns and finding his type of QB. I think we could possibly see Kolb out, Glennon and Stanton in _________________

I like the idea of bringing him in as a backup. As a starter it scares me, but as a backup that'd be wonderful _________________

If this move does come to fruition the most interesting part of it to me would be the fact that Arians might be overriding the decisions and thoughts of his personnel guys. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Wouldnt the coach and FO be working together to make the team better?
Seems like a good idea.
Stanton means that Skelton is at least toast.
Or Bartel is gone.
Also means Kolb is put on notice, paycut or no paycut. |

Bartel has been gone for awhile now.
Everyone is looking into this too much. |

As back up sure, no way starting.
Imagine trying to sell Stanton as the starting QB. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Stanton> Skelton |
Def can agree with Stanton > Skelton.
Watched some 2010 tape of Stanton and he didn't do too badly.. but I don't think he's the answer for the long term future at QB, more of a stop-gap for backup QB with possiblity of starting if we don't grab a franchise QB right away. _________________

Solid game manager when he was in DET. Had a decent 2010, where he made the most of what he could. Some-what mobile which helps, he just knows how to get the ball to his playmakers. Nothing great, just solid back up you'd like behind your starter.
I think he's clearly better than Lindley/Skelton... and Kolb has to prove he can stay healthy. |

| One guy I would like to sign, just to have someone dependable, is Shaun Hill. He's a backup in Detroit now but I remember him playing pretty well in the past. |

So here is a question is Lindley a BA type QB? I think it is too soon to cut bait with him. thoughts _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

He is but the guy was just so overwhelmed last year. Clearly not ready to contribute any time soon. He's exactly what you want in a #3 QB but no more than that. His spot isn't guaranteed though. |
