What do you guys think about us going DE in round 1? If Ryan likes Hicks at NT, then we'd have a huge hole there. Sheldon Richardson - Hicks - Jordan would be pretty sweet. Sign a Spencer/Kruger and we'd have a pretty nice front seven. Secondary could use some work. Starters at S and depth at CB.

My guy would be Sharrif Floyd! He is a beast, but I doubt that he will be available at #15. Have seen him go top 3 in some mock drafts!

I see Floyd as a penetrating nose tackle who would be better in a 43 defense. He would most likely be a DE in a 34 in my opinion. I seem to agree that NT should not be a round 1 priority. Maybe, it should not even be a round three priority. Free Agent or hungry third day of the draft player is my preference.

Very interesting stat I came across on PFF. Both Junior Galette and Martez Wilson ranked in the Top 15 in Pass Rushing Productivity among 4-3 ends who played at least 25% of their teams snaps, with Galette coming in as the fourth-most productive rusher. I think both players are going to benefit heavily from a switch to the 3-4, I'm very excited.

Nice insight Harper. Everybody on here seem to be stuck on moving Wilson back to the middle. Going into the draft my 1A and 1B is Ezekiel Ansah and Alec Ogletree.

All the talk about Ryan's scheme being so complicated, and going after Spencer because he's already familiar with it's got me thinking. What about LaRon Landry? Not sure what kind of contract he's looking to get, but isn't he familiar with Rob's D from playing in Rex's scheme? Do you guys think he'd be an upgrade over Harper? Why or why not? Just throwing something out there.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Landry but he's likely going to get a large contract on the open market.

I figured he'd be rather expensive. Just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I don't think we should pay a safety that much without shoring up our front 7 first.

I think they just need to move Wilson to wherever he is best. No need to jump into committing him to a position right away.

How would you guys rank our top 5 needs for this off season? I'm sure everyone will have a different list

I think I'd have to agree, actually. I'd probably put Safety in general instead of SS, though. Jenkins is trash.

I'd say

OLB/ILB (depends on where we put Wilson
OT* (if Bushy leaves)
DE/NT (depends where we put Hicks)
DL depth
SS
CB
OT* (if Bushy stays)

I think fixing either S spot helps us.

Get a new SS and IAQ can move to FS. Get a new FS and IAQ can move to SS. We have 2 glaring holes and only 1 guy who deserves a shot to fill them, but he could probably fill either one of them.

So if we put Tez at OLB, you guys don't see Hawthorne as a starter inside?

Yeah. Not ideal, but he could plug in at ILB and be serviceable.

I really like Ogletree, Arthur Brown, and Minter at ILB. Which of the 3 do you guys think would be most successful next to Lofton.

Trying to keep the forum alive Laughing
