|
|
|
Hello peoples,
We have this annual contest on the Giants forum for as long as Bagh's been around. Almost everyone loves to do mock drafts so we ("we") made a contest out of it.
Here are the rules (Rules? What Rules?):
1. Each participant must send a 7 round Giants Mock Draft by set deadline.
Deadline: April 25th, 2013 at 10:00 am (Eastern Time).
If a participant does not send their mock draft by the deadline they will be removed from the contest.
2. All mock drafts and revisions must be PMed to me and must be in the following format:
Round (Pick#/trade up or down): Player, Position, School
Example:
Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
Here are our Picks (subject to change):
Round 1, Pick 19 (19)
Round 2, Pick 19 (51)
Round 3, Pick 19 (83)
Round 4, Pick 19 (116)
Round 5, Pick 19 (152)
Round 6, Pick 19 (187)
Round 7, Pick 19 (225)
Round 7, Pick Something (253)
(No pictures, or explanations needed)
3. You may send me your mock and change your picks as much as you would like. However you cannot change any pick of you mock past 10:00 am on April 25th.
4. This mock will be trade free. (I.e. Submissions of Jared Gaither for 3rd round pick will invalidate your entry)
5. Point System
A) If you think a player will be taken in a trade down, write 'Trade down' next to the player. The same applies for trading up. If that player is taken, then you would be awarded 20 points.
Example:
Round 1 (Trade Up): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
B) 15 points for correct player and draft position.
Example:
Your pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
C) 10 points for correct player
Example:
Your pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Round 2 (Pick# 51): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
Note: Do not do slashes and try and double dip for points.
For Example, I don't want to see the following:
Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Okafor DE/OLB, Texas
such entries will be invalid.
D) 5 points for correct position
Example:
Your pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia
E) 2 points for correct college for a given pick
Example:
Your pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Jarvis Jones OLB, Georgia
Actual Pick: Round 1 (Pick# 19): Alex Ogletree, LB, Georgia
There will be tie breakers in place which will deal with stuff like how many correct positions were picked.
Example:
Giants Draft: 2 WR, 1 LB, 1 TE, 1 OT, 2 CB, 1 QB
Member A: 1 WR, 2 LB, 1 TE, 1 S, 1 CB, 1 DT -> 4 correct Position
Member B: 1 WR, 2 LB, 2 CB, 1 DT, 1 QB -> 5 Correct Position
Member B wins
I will post a complete list of mocks here as well as any revisions.
I'll leave this thread open for discussion but remember you must PM your draft to me. It's easy to edit post here and sometimes the time stamp doesn't show for some posts that have been edited.
Now, I want to add a note. Late submissions will be disqualified no matter what. It doesn't matter if it's a minute or an hour. You folks have a month to put this together, and send edits via pm all you want so no excuse will be accepted.

This is always a good time. Admittedly, it seems like I know less about college football prospects each subsequent year. But I'll do my best to make it back to the promiseland. _________________ W O R L D C H A M P I O N S '86, '90, '07, '11 |

That's what the combine is for. _________________

I've been getting better at scouting prospects ... combine will help greatly though.

Yeah, but it would be a waste right now imo. I like to go after players we are rumored before the draft with late draft picks. _________________
