If the Saints pass on JJ I might just punt my cat across the room.
Love Dion...but he isn't in JJs stratosphere. |

Logan Ryan isn't a bad pick, but I would personally prefer Phillip Thomas. We need a new free safety badly, and I think Haslett could utilize Thomas well. _________________

| Matt Barkley at 9? HAHAHAHA. Jets fans would burn radio city to the ground if that happened. |

Agreed, he's my #1 guy I hope the Steelers land somehow and if we could AND land possibly the most pure NT in the draft in the 2nd to fill in for Hampton it be a dream come true! _________________

Well the Rams are getting pretty good value with the picks, though, they aren't my ideal targets, they all make some sense. I'm not a big fan of Vacarro, but, I can see slotting him to us. Floyd would be pretty good value here, though not really addressing a glaring need for us, hard to pass on him. Ertz also would be great value at #46, though I'm not a huge fan of TE for Rams in first 2 rounds.
I would have to hope they signed a RT and/or LG in free agency. _________________

I could see the Patriots taking Robert Woods. He was once projected to go top 5, he has fallen due to a poor season. But the Patriots like to take players that have fallen from a once very high ranking and return them to top form.
59. New England Patriots - Datone Jones, DE/DT
Datone Jones seems like a Patriots type player in my opinion. He doesn't really fit naturally into one position, which the Patriots seem to like. He's a tweener but a good football player overall. The Patriots like to take players like this. Jones could go much higher, but since he is an awkward fit on a defense, there isn't really a good place for him to go besides NE. |
The rationales don't quite hold up.
Woods: Yes, the Pats do like to pick up players who've fallen, but OTOH BB seems to *hate* the product that comes out of USC.
Jones: The Patriots like *versatility*, which is not at all the same thing as "[not] fit[ting] naturally into one position." _________________

That's a dream draft for the steelers. Jones and Williams would be great. _________________
