I stand by my belief that there are plenty of quality players already on the roster. |
We have quality depth players starting.
Poz, Blackmon, CSIII, Monroe, Anger, Scobee, Daryl, Derek Cox, and MJD are our only quality players. |
You really think that only 9/24 starters are starting caliber?
Not buying it. Not buying it at all. |
Who else?
I'm just speaking off the top of my head. |
Uche, Mosley, Knighton, Landry, Lowery, Alualu (played much better once he started practicing every day. I'd guess his struggles the first half were injury related), Lewis.
Supplement those players with good players on the o-line (could have a couple on the roster now coming off IR, maybe not), a top 10 QB, top 10 pass rusher and a few other pieces and the roster doesn't look bad at all. That said, it's not like we can go into a draft and expect to come out with:
#1 J.J. Watt
#2 Zane Beadles
#3 Russell Wilson
#4 Geno Atkins
#5 Richard Sherman
to turn the team around quickly. But those are probably the quality of players we need at those positions to upgrade the roster where we'd need to be. _________________

I forgot Landry and Lowery. Alualu is okay... Knighton hasn't played in forever, Uche is meh.... _________________

Uche, Landry, Knighton, and Lewis are all average. Not sure I'd say that's quality.
Lowery and mosely are slightly above average.
Alualu, lol. I was waiting for someone to bring him up. If he counts as one of our "quality players", we're in bad shape.
We have about a dozen quality players, depending on how you define quality. The talent on this team is abysmal. The understating of our troubles is cute, but not in any way realistic. _________________

I think the term "quality player" is too loosely defined. _________________

Based off what I'm seeing on Twitter, hopefully the players like Gus (& this staff) more than Mularkey LOL _________________

Alualu was straight up trash the first half of the year, but he got significantly better as the season progressed. Likely because his injury problems went away, seeing as his progression started when he stopped being held out of Wednesday practices. _________________

Tyson needs to be the run stuffing DE like Bryant was for the Seahawks and then have Mingo on the other side. _________________

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like practices were horrible and players HATED Mularkey.
It also sounds like Babin thinks we had better players than Philly but Mularkey was an idiot. _________________

Also, Bradley was widely recognized as a player's coach, so there shouldn't be any hatred of him. _________________

I still like Terrance Knighton and he'd fit in either the Alan Branch or Red Bryant role.
He seems like an emotional dude though so I could see that helping or hurting his decision of coming back or not. _________________

So glad he is gone. It is no surprise the players disliked him. Hes not suited to be a HC in this league. _________________
