Maybe there is still an ounce of hope we might be able to stay 43! Seeing we have 43DEs who aren't good for 34OLBs.

I think they'll be fine, but it's more of a "I know they are fine" vs "I think they will be fine" thing at this point.

Sounds like neither Davis nor Kelly are willing to commit to a label though and I think that's the right way to do this thing.

I like that we'll be running the 4-3 under hybrid Defense, probably even more than keeping the base 4-3, and certainly more than a permanent base 3-4. Aggressive scheme that keeps the O guessing. I think we have a lot more pieces in place than most think. He would never make personell his ace in the hole if he didn't think we had at least half of the pieces in place/good depth. We must have, otherwise, Kelly wouldn't keep reiterating our D is personell driven. He never would've established that in the first place, let alone drive it home everytime he is asked about the direction of the D. If we can get 2-3 good starters via FA/draft, I think we'll have around 8/11 positions set, with the remaining 3 being at least servicable.

I hope we are scheme versatile kind of like the Falcons played a little of both this past season.

Regardless of scheme I want to see more aggressiveness on the ball...put your helmet on the ball, swipe at it whatever it takes...

I think our last yr where we caused a lot of disruptive plays (int/ff) was X's last season in (midnight) green.

IS SLB THE KEY TO THIS DEFENSE???

Been looking over this 4-3 Under Defense and the more I look at it the more I believe The SLB is the Key play-maker of this D. He's the one that they will move around and use in a bunch of different ways to get to the QB aswell as drop back into coverage when needed.

That means since I dont believe we have that guy on the roster now, whoever we draft most likely in the 1st Round(Jarvis,Jordan,or Mingo,etc) that guy I believe will be the key to our Defense. He will have to be our Von Miller, the guy who needs to be accounted for on every snap which will free up plays for all the other guys even when he's not getting to the QB.
