Really hope?
If he does, he does, not hoping for it |
I "really hope" because that is the only way he has a realistic shot at coming back. The stuff speeds injury recovery, it doesn't turn you into Megatron. Ray Lewis got healthy, still looked old and slow. I have zero moral concern with using it for rehab. |

Looks like his rehab is coming along.
I would seriously like nothing more than for Childs to make a comeback and become a feature receiver for this team. It would make for a great story in many ways but also I think that he has a ton of potential if he's healthy. Let's not forget that he was projected as a mid 1st rounder if he'd made himself eligible his sophmore year.
Who knows, maybe we'll see him on the field at some point by the end of the year. |

I have heard some speculation that Childs, even if healthy, may be put on the practice squad to give the knees even more rehab time without putting the strees on an NFL season on them too soon. If we can pull it off, I like the idea. |

If there were any team that could Childs on the field, it's the combination of Dr. James Andrew and Eric Sugarman. I don't expect anything from Childs but I wouldn't be surprised to see him this year. _________________

Would he make it on the practice squad tho? I'd have a hard time seeing 31 teams allowing that to happen without trying to sign him up and let him sit on the 53 man roster since he would be "healthy" _________________

I don't see any team keeping him on the 53 man roster. _________________

I do not think he will ever have the speed he once had. By his Pro Day he had recovered to the point that he looked incredible. I mean he put up Justin Hunter type numbers.
Even without vertical speed he still offers great size and very good hands. He could still be a good possession / jump ball receiver. Just depends on his recovery. _________________

| Feel bade for the guy...He tares up both knees and still continuously pushes himself to come back and be a part if this football team. I hope he gets to full health or as close as he can. Then hopefully be able to show what he can do. |

| I just act like he's not on the team cause it's too frustrating thinking about the potential we can be with him but then realizing he may never even suit up. Went through the same feelings with Brandon Roy on the Wolves. Until it happens, I'll just block those thoughts. |

maybe he'll surprise us and be fit to play. but we're all being correctly wary to not expect much of anything.
best of luck to ya, Greg! _________________
