Gotta admit didnt know alot about him when we drafted him...i live in Ohio and dont see much SEC Football. I happened across some youtube footage...The guy can really play when healthy...6-3 217 ...
.i have read that it is possible too come back from this injury...they have perfected new techniques in this area of surgery and they are having great success with recovery..
HAs anyone ever had this surgery or have they heard any new news about Childs recovery efforts |

Here is an article about his rehab, although it is about a month old

| Quote: | | Bilateral patellar tendon tears are extremely rare in the general population. No NFL player has returned from the injury, although at least two -- running backs Cadillac Williams and Correll Buckhalter -- have returned from two separate patelar tendon tears. |
I think the Vikings need to move forward as if he won't play again, any production you get during his career is a bonus. _________________

| I'm sure he'll be on the roster at the beginning of training camp, whether the Vikings keep him into the season probably depends on what he shows. I don't think the Vikings will keep him another season if he can't play. |

I'd be surprised if he ever plays a down of pro football. Gruesome back to back injuries. _________________

If he comes back, and thats a big if, he'll likely start off as the #5/#6 WR for us.
He has a long road ahead of him. As someone said, its a bonus if he even gets on the field at this point. _________________

I have little to no hope for Childs at this point, but you never know. the best course of action is to put him on PUP, even if he appears ready to go. Just keep him there so he doesnt hurt something again. _________________

If Greg Childs can even make it to final cuts, that would be more than I expect. I don't expect him to be a factor at all, now or in the future. _________________

| I really hope he's using Deer Antler Spray or HGH or something. I think players should get a pass on the testing when they are rehabbing serious injuries. |

Really hope?
If he does, he does, not hoping for it _________________
