Good stuff. He deserves to get paid. He could've made a stink about it. We're actually lucky some other team didn't snag him up a few years ago.

It was Goldson rejecting that offer even though it was much better than what he got in SF. That let me know he really wants to stay here.

Was there ever an actual number from the Pats released? What I remember, it's that the Pats didn't offer him the multi-year deal he wanted either. So, if he was stuck playing a short-term deal, he chose to play it on familiar team.

^ that's the way I remembered it too. Goldson wasn't being noble in this... but yeah, I am glad he didn't gripe all year or take his inner complaints to twitter.

i think even if we get him that theres a chance we trade up for vaccaro to replace whitner. i wouldnt mind it

i think even if we get him that theres a chance we trade up for vaccaro to replace whitner. i wouldnt mind it |
what do we do with witner? do we really need two heavy hitting safeties? he also seems to get frequently owned in coverage.

I don't care much for whitner. I'd rather keep Goldson for a few years and get a young guy who can actually cover next to Goldson.

but then again, if we trade up I would rather take a dlineman.
