My question to my fellow Dolphin brothren is this, who do you think is the best overall player in this years draft, regardless of position and regardless of when they will be selected. This is NOT a "who do you want the Dolphins to draft" question or "Who do you think we will take" question. I just want to know who is the best player in this years college draft class.
I have a response, but will post mine after a few others have had a chance to respond. _________________ "22 players are involved in every football play. To value precisely the activity of one of them, it is first necessary to account for the actions of the other 21" |

I think Star Lotulelei is going to live up to his name and be a star in this league. I think he's the best player in this Draft. _________________

I have two and cant give one but one is on offense and one is on defense.
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee- He is big tough and explosive he is total package, and contributed on ST's averaging 28 yards on Kick returns, 46 catches for 780 yards (thats 16.95 yards per catch) he goes after the ball and never gives up on a play, kid looks to be special.
Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida This guy reminds me of Warren Sapp and think he is going to be a true joy to watch, (unless he becomes a Jet or a Pat) but this guy does it all, he can play in 4-3, 3-4. More suited as a DE in 3-4 but he is still just a wrecking ball 6-3 (or 6-2 not sure off top of my head) 300 pounds and very quick off the line.
Those are my two. _________________

I am not sure of his name, I think it is Jarvis Jones the DE from Georgia. This guy is going to be a monster and tear up in the NFL. _________________

Agreed Star looks to be in the Suh/Ngata class of prospect. Other than him my next three are pretty much even:
Luke Joeckel
Dee Millner
Barkevious Mingo
Mingo raises eyebrows, but what he did against Clemson in the bowl game solidified him there for me. I have never seen a DE move that quickly and explosively. I am looking at you Dwight Freeney/Julius Peppers. _________________

There are three players that come to mind that I feel are the best in the
Draft....all I believe will be multiple pro-bowlers..
Chance Warmack - The guy is just dominate....strength to spare and a great athlete.
Eric Fisher - A phenomenal Athlete that proved he belong with the big boys at the Senior Bowl.
Bjorn Werner - Wow....Explosive with a high motor and great strength and still is learning the game. _________________

We typically see eye to eye. But I can't agree with Mingo. I dislike the way he plays in general. _________________ -Proud 2011 Inductee to FF's Miami Dolphins RoH |

The more I see of Eric Fisher, the more I think he might be the best player in this draft. I really want a WR or a DE, but the fact is I would not pass on Fisher if he were available at #12. _________________ "22 players are involved in every football play. Really? Eric Fisher dominated at the Senior Bowl during both the game and practices....I would be shocked if he made out of the top 10 and if he did
I would hope Ireland has enough sense to draft him. _________________
