Dixon could possibly find a starting job with the Eagles, or at least push Mike Vick off the roster.

If he loads up on QBs like this, LeSean McCoy will be the starting QB by week 10.....unless they bring Vince Young back.

Wait, the twitter feed is for a potential deal.

Is a potential deal with a backup QB really NFL News worthy?

Not to mention, you've failed to provide a brief summary of your thoughts, like you've been reminded to do recently.

Chip would be starting his NFL career out on the wrong foot.

I don't understand what your dealio is. This guy has posted news like this for the past two years i've been reading this site and most likely way longer than that and you're the ONLY one i've seen say he isn't doing it right. Laughing

I like this signing though.

Reading the News Guidelines would've told you all you needed to know. He's had thread locked within the past week for not doing it right. I wasn't the one who locked it. Now he's posted the exact same thing again.

If you have a problem with moderation, please take it up via PM.

Shocker signing of the offseason....

Ive always really liked Dixon, and still think he can be a decent NFL QB, especially under Chip. At the very least he is a good insurance plan for the move into the NFL.

When opening a new thread in News, you need to start the topic off with your own thoughts. Posting a link and a quote is not sufficient.

Either a new thread can be started by another poster, pursuant to News Forum Guidelines, or the OP can pm a moderator to unlock this thread so the first post can be edited.

Thanks!

First of all, this move is far from official. It's just speculation at this point, but has been rumored for about a week now. It may indeed happen, but it has not yet. The thread title is a little misleading IMO.

Secondly, if Dixon is signed, IT IS NOT for the starting QB job. It's to offer competition for Foles and a potential draft pick, and to help potentially teach some of the other QBs on the roster Chip's ways of coaching offense and the scheme in general.

Just wanted to make that clear everyone.
