The way I see it. If Dion Jordan is there, he is the pick. Next would be Mingo. If they are both gone we could take Anzah, but I can see us trading down.
Perhaps, we trade back a few spots and gain a second rounder. Kenny Vacaro is selected to replace Harper.
With the second rounder we can grab someone like Jesse Williams.

Now, maybe we sign Jarius Byrd in free agency. He can give us the ball hawk that we need.
Next could be a draft day trade with Malcolm Jenkins, our 5th and next years 5th for a late 3rd. With our 2 thirds we grab Chris Faulk and Melanie Jenkins. On to the 4th round, we select Chase Thomas. The fifth- Tyrann Matheui.

Chamberlain comes back to back up Lofton and Cassillas backs up Hawthorne.

Rip it apart.[/quote]

If Rob Ryan is hired as the new DC, I could see the Saints making a play for Ziggy Ansah in the draft and Anthony Spencer in FA.

Sorry...I don't get Ansah in the 3-4. As a DE...maybe. He is too big to be a SOLB. There is no way that he has the coverage skills and agility to keep up with todays TEs.

I like Dion Jordan...but I do have concerns about his weight. He may have difficulty anchoring the strong side against the run at that weight. The labrum tear may prevent him from having time to put on muscle before the combine. The more and more I think about...the more I like the idea of getting a proven free agent, waiting until the 3rd round, or moving up to get Jarvus Jones for SOLB. But who knows...maybe a guy will stand out in the combine who would deem himself worthy of #15.

I actually do like Anthony Spencer for the position. Keep Galette at WOLB. Wilson at SILB, Lofton at WILB.

Under the scenario...I trade back unless a instant game changer like Jarvus Jones is there (which he won't be). Then go BPA. There will be some value at NT & safety at that point.

Ansah can play OLB in a 34... THE SAME POSITION HE PLAYED AT IN BYU!

If Ryan is the DC, Sure he can. Spencer plays his role and Ansah plays the D-Ware role who is also around the size of Ansah and don't even get me started on athletic ability.

A lot of people talk up Dion Jordan, and while I to like Jordan he does have some flaws as well.

He's way to light in the butt and at 6'7" he engages way to high. Even at Oregon opposing teams limited his impact by running right at him. He's great in pursuit but in the NFL as an OLB you better be able to set the edge in the running game because if you can't your just a 3rd down pass rush specialist.

As of right now... Jordan does not possess the ability to set the edge against the run in the NFL. Sorry, he just doesn't! I like the kids potential but that's what it is right now... potential.

Ansah is 6'6" 270lbs... Jordan is 6'7" 245lbs so even if Jordan does add the required bulk needed to take on these NFL blockers, He'll be around the same size as Ansah is now so the argument that Ansah is to big is crazy.
