Thought this might be nice to have around as a reference.
Important dates in the NFL
February 20-26 - NFL Scouting Combine, Timing and Testing, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind.
March 9-11 - Teams may enter into contract talks with players who will be unrestricted free agents.
March 12 -There is a lot that goes on here so lets break down one-by-one:
4 p.m. deadline for teams to exercise 2013 contract options on all players with club options.
Prior to 4 p.m. teams must have submitted qualifying offers to restricted free agents they wish to keep right of first refusal for. They also must submit a salary offer to exclusive rights free agent players.
All 2012 player contracts will expire at 4 p.m. Teams must be under the 2013 salary cap at this time.
At 4 p.m. the 2013 League Year begins; trades are allowed and free agency begins.
March 17-20 - League meetings in Phoenix, Ariz. / Compensatory picks awarded
April 25-27 - NFL Draft in New York City, NY.
May 20-22 - Spring league meeting, Boston, Mass.
September 5, 8-9 - 2013 season kickoff weekend

Here's some more info for the Raiders in particular...
The signing period for unrestricted free agents and the trading period begin March 12.
Off-Season Workout Program
The Raiders 2013 off-season strength and conditioning program will begin April 15 under the direction of strength and conditioning coach Al Miller as the team convenes for training at the Raiders Alameda, Calif., facility.
2013 NFL Schedule
The 2013 NFL game schedule, including dates, times, venues and television coverage will be announced by the National Football League sometime during the month of April. Preseason opponents will be revealed in late March/early April. Last year, preseason opponents were announced April 4, with the regular season schedule announcement coming on April 19.
2013 NFL Draft
The 2013 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. More than 250 collegiate prospects will begin their professional football careers as a selection in the seven-round Draft. The first round of the 2013 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 25, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 26, followed by Rounds 4-7 Saturday, April 27. Visit Raiders.com Draft Central.
Biletnikoff Hall of Fame Golf Classic
Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff and the Oakland Raiders will host the 9th Annual Hall of Fame Classic in memory of Fred's daughter Tracey to support many causes throughout Northern California. The golf tournament is set for Monday, April 29, 2013, and will be held at Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif. An autograph show is set for Sunday, April 28, from 5-7:00 p.m. The location will be announced at a later date.
Mini-Camps and Organized Team Activities
The Raiders historically have held mini-camps and Organized Team Activities at the team's Alameda facility during the months of May and June. Dates and times to be announced.
2013 Training Camp
The Raiders typically report to Training Camp at their Napa Valley Training Complex in late July. Teams are allowed to open training camp 15 days prior to their first preseason game.

Awesome awesome thread, who knows how many times I'd be looking these dates up, so pumped for these things to happen lol one of my favorite times of year is draft and free agency

Not a bad idea. However the powers that be don't like to inundate each forum with too many stickies.
PM SpeedWrench though. We can put it in the first page of the "Raider Directory" sticky. He can probably put a nice little graphic to it as well if we ask nicely.
Edit: I put it in there at the top. But I'm leaving up to him to make a nice graphic link  . Black Widow, I also added apart to your March 17-20 league meetings point; League meetings weekend is usually when the Compensatory picks are awarded.

cant wait for draft day party. For super bowl had 12 lbs of crap legs, wings, beer etc.
Draft day party will be bigger(my buddy is an eagles fan). So im pretty excited this year. Hopefully it will be one of the last where we are in the top 10.
