What are your thoughts? He's a better version of Knox and would be the vertical threat we need.

They would want to much...wouldn't go higher than a 4th given his health and attitude problems.

No way they trade him in the NFCN.

We could offer a 1st round pick and they are not trading him here.

Since trading a first round pick would weaken the Bears because it is a huge overpayment, the Vikes would be crazy not to do this.

Since he averaged 100 yds and one td more per year than Knox we would have little interest higher than a fifth round pick for him. We do not need to add a head case to the mix (in more ways than one).

While I agree that it would be extremely unlikely that the Vikes want to trade Harvin to CHI, I guess I need to play the roll of the contrarian here.

Is Percy Harvin really a head case? More so than say, Brandon Marshall? Or at least what Marshall had been? Unless there is something I'm majorly missing Marshall had WAY more baggage.

I'm also not fond of the injury prone tag that gets attached to Harvin. He had migraine issues early in his career but that hasn't been an issue lately. Furthermore he strikes me as a pretty tough player, playing through pain regularly.

On top of that he is a gamebreaker.

So I give up. What am I missing that must be obvious for so many people to not value him more than a 4th or 5th round pick?!?!! I'm confused.

Pros: Playmaking ability and return value

Cons: Price tag and character issues.

No.

He's ultra talented w/ the ball in his hands, but he's gonna want #1 WR money and he's a headcase. The Bears have much bigger needs to address w/ the likely 2nd round pick he'd cost

Can he play LT,RT, LG, C, MLB, OLB TE or DB. If not this is our focus not another WR.

Well they need a WR to stretch the field. Just not one as expensive as Harvin.

Tarvarres King or Stedman Bailey would be great deep threats IMO.

I agree, we dont need Harvin, and I'm sure Minny would put a steep price for us to get him. We can get a speedy WR in the mid to late rounds.

He would also demand a huge contract on top of probably a 2nd round pick to get him (but I agree the Vikes would never trade him within the division). Would love him but it's not going to happen.

I was always a big fan of Percy on the field and was pretty crushed when I saw the Vikings draft him a few years back. I think he would be a great fit on this offense; however, I don't see Emery giving up what it's going to take to pry him away from the Vikings and $ wise in a new contract. And as Madmike90 said, there's too many concerns with Percy off the field. It's a pipe dream.
