Would just like to point out that for all his "regular season struggles" this guy really impresses me with how he shows up in the post season.
22 rec, 546 yds, 5 TD's in 5 games is AWESOME.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does with a full season of Kaep at QB. _________________

I think going into next year, we are in good shape as long as Kyle and Mario come back healthy bc it seems like Davis and kaep are on the same page. _________________

I made mention to this yesterday that Vernon Davis finally has chemistry with Kaepernick. There was no reason these two shouldn't have connected more often but next season is going to be a good one for him. We do have a chance to have two 1,000 yard receivers in Vernon and Crabtree. What I would love is another speedster on the outside along with Crabtree. I love Manningham but he would be a great #3 WR, and Kyle Williams #4. Could AJ Jenkins be that guy? I'm definitely hoping so as he will be the missing piece. Also, Delanie Walker could do better as he will get used to Kaepernick's passes. Who am I kidding, I'm probably reaching with that statement .
I'd also like to point out Frank Gore having a great postseason once again. The extra week/weeks he gets during postseason have been CRUCIAL for him. Next season we will have a three headed monster that will keep Gore fresh. _________________

Kap learned how to float balls in his belly. That has made all the difference. _________________

In a way, yes. However, Davis caught a few rockets as well with his disgusting form of jumping and catching the ball. He almost dropped one in the first quarter when Reed cracked him. This guy just isn't a natural catcher so Kaepernick had to adjust and will continue to do so with him. _________________

Yeh some guys are natural catchers as you see with crabtree coming across the middle and catcing with his hands in stride vs. vernon who has to catch with his body and bread basket everything. But knowing the the of routes he likes we did a good job getting him in those routes _________________

It's funny how Manningham and Crabtree are so natural catchers, while Walker/Davis are the opposites LOL. _________________

Its the difference between guys playing wr from kids age, vs athletes or converted positional players. But its prolly also like natural 3 pt shooters vs a scorer.
I can relate because im a natural wr and 3 pt shooter _________________

I would like to get a more natural, smoother route runner at TE this offseason to balance out VD. If this TE had WR speed like Walker does that would be great too. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

I completely agree, and same thing with almost every sport. Like for boxing, Floyd Mayweather is a natural as he has been boxing since he was 5 years old. Then you have some HWs that start at the age of 18 and are just powerful athletes that get by with that. _________________

We have a touch decision on hand with Walker. This guy is a tremendous blocker and has the potential to be a factor in the passing game. However, he is not a sure handed TE, and may get more money elsewhere. _________________

i also think he can get more cash elsewhere. but idk i feel like he loves it here. him and dix to me just love it here it seems
i hope he takes less to stay. im also thinking into the future and hoping kap does the same, and doesnt demand top qb money like flacco is. i know hes good, but hopefully he would rather win.
but money is money. some of these guys couldnt give a f about wins it seems _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

+1
He still has a dismal "catch radius". But his speed is just such an incredible weapon. I think he's shown in the NO game last year, and in the playoffs this year what he can do when the team focuses on our other guys. But we need at least one more guy besides Crabs and Vernon. That would significantly improve an already promising passing game. _________________

I think Kaep will stay as long as Jim is Coach and i don't think he would ever put himself out of reach money wise. With that said who is his agent lol. _________________
