Maybe some truth to the "49ers making a run at Welker" rumors that have been mentioned. |
how legit is this bob guy? I have seen his tweets here before... |
Legit enough to be followed by Adam Schefter and Vernon Davis. |
really? well then. _________________

If he tweets anything about smith and a second rounder for Revis, I'd faint..
I would be ok with the Welker signing as long as we are still able to resign dashon. _________________

He tweeted that Jim Harbaugh was a "done deal" back in January 2011...to the Miami Dolphins.
He's a hack. He basically says a lot of things, some obvious, takes credit for the few he gets correct, and self promotes himself obnoxiously.
If he's saying the 49ers are going to sign Welker, we probably won't. He's just copying the earlier report that surfaced. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

Bookmarked, thanks!
And yes, I'd like to see Welker here as I believe he still has a couple of years left on his 32 year old body (although after Edwards and Moss, it's got me a wee bit hesitant on WR's with thin tread). The million dollar question as always is how many of those will it take to sign him and for how long? If you can't draft em, sign them... _________________

I'd rather go after a Mike Wallace or a younger guy than another older WR on his way out. That hasn't worked for us for the past decade. _________________

Would love it but probably won't happen. Wallace will want too much money. _________________

How much money do you think Danny Amendola will go for? I'd rather take the younger version of Wes Welker than the guy whos about to be 32. _________________

Bowe and Wallace are both going for big deals. I doubt we make a big splash in FA. We'll probably just grab a few value pick ups like we do every year. _________________

I can't see STL letting him walk. He's the only guy Sam can throw to. _________________

Rams fans don't seem to think he's a big priority. He's only played 12 of the last 32 games. When healthy he can be a very valuable part of our offense and i think a guy with his skillset would thrive with us. Quick, shifty slot guy who can pick up first downs, return punts, and overall just extend drives.
If he hits UFA we have to schedule a visit. But knowing Baalke he'll set a price and won't budge over that amount. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |
