Please elaborate. Im not sure what you are saying exactly. Its like the Bettis situation, only Bettis played the SB in his home city iifc. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.

He means why do people like this dude so much and want to see him go out on the high note. Im sure the families members of a certain someone isnt happy about this high note. At least that what I think he was going with it. |

What I mean is that I find it crazy that people love this guy with what happened with him off the field. Wanna be happy for Anquan Boldin? Cool, I am too. Ed Reed? Hell yea. But Ray gets more attention and is looked at in such high regards when he has been involved with horrible things. And then this phenomenon happens that the common fan turns a blind eye because he is charasmatic and a good speaker and a great talent? It's ludicrous. _________________

Not one person said that. We said he's involved. People can draw their own conclusions. But I'm not at all surprised you're the one chiming in and twisting words. That's really all you do around here. _________________

I just realized yesterday that some time in my youth, my dad got me an Alex Smith jersey.
This would be fine except:
1. He and I are both Raider fans
and
2. I can't find it to burn. _________________

I'm with Tag here that was the past and who he is now is much different. He's a family man, a great team mate and a good guy. If anything that experience humbled him.
It's like if Vick won the super bowl. How many here would be upset with that? _________________

Me.
But everyone has their own opinion. And at least Vick served some time. Lewis paid his way out of trouble.
If you think Ray Lewis is a good guy then like I said that's your opinion. I can't say I'm shocked a guy who had a Kobe Sig would say that. I think you did anyway. I'd imagine you'd say he's a good guy too? _________________

A good guy involved in a murder. I'm happy for Boldin and Reed. I don't care about Lewis. I'm just happy he retires. Btw, he wasn't too good yesterday. _________________

| Fact is if ray Lewis was a bad or average football player people would not look so easily past the off the field stuff. Tebow gets hate for some of the same exact stuff Lewis gets praise for. |

My mistake Chali. The person I thought you were with the sig has already posted, with the predictable opinion to match.
Some people value how these players behave in our world, off the field. Some don't. _________________

Forgot to contribute.
One of my homies is a big Niners fan. He gets all [inappropriate/removed] when I make tiny observations about and feels the need to talk about how sorry the Raiders are.
Anyways dude got all emotional after they lost. My other buddy, a Falcons fan, texted me and said another friend of ours was trying to tell the Niner fan everything was gonna be alright like console him or whatever. He also said he deleted our comments we wrote on his post whining about the "Holding" call. Then I go on Facebook and see obey if his updates that said "I'm not gonna lie I cried yesterday. You guys have no idea how much the Niners mean to me." I LMAO. I commented and said "I almost cried when the Raiders got blown out 12 years ago but I chose to man up instead. We had a bunch of old players on that team and our window was closing. At least the Niners are young and have a bright future." I texted my Falcon fan buddy to check it out and he laughed. _________________
