I'm no o line expert. So just throwing this out there for discussion.
There is a general feeling that we need to upgrade our interior O line. We know that they did a much better job protecting Manning when Kuper played. I attribute at least some of that to Kuper 's knowledge of protections, especially with Koppen coming in late.
My question is, if we bring in new O line help via the draft (as opposed to an experienced player via free agency, might we consider moving Kuper to center, and plugging in the rookie at Right Guard? Seems like he would be well suited at center, and a better option than Walton or Koppen. Bring in a first rate guard, and we might be able to upgrade 2 positions.
Thoughts? |

There's absolutely no way Chris kuper is a better center option than J.D. Walton. Has kuper ever played center? _________________

| Honestly I think Kuper will need to take a pay cut just to keep his current job much less move to a new position. Combine his injuries and ineffectiveness in the run game along with an absolutely dreadful playoff performance and he's gotta be skating on some thin ice. The fact that he is a leader on this team should save him so long as he is willing to accept that he's not earning his pay check and takes a salary reduction. |

Kuper may never be healthy enough or young enough to be the player he once was. He had another surgery on the ankle and may have to have one more. I will try and find the link, but Kup may be done.
AKRNA might know more than others. He has ties to him somehow. _________________ GO BRONCOS! |
