The Raiders and Jets have agreed to a trade.

This trade sends Mike Brisiel to NY and the Raiders get Santonio Holmes in return on the condition that Holmes restructures his contract.

The restructure would be the following:

Santonio Holmes

2013 base salary: 2M ; Prorated signing bonus: 3M ; Workout bonus: 250k ; Cap hit: 5.25M
2014 base salary: 8.25M ; Prorated signing bonus: 3M ; Roster bonus: 1M ; Workout bonus: 250k ; Cap hit: 12.5M
2015 base salary: 6.5M ; Prorated signing bonus: 3M ; Roster bonus: 1M ; Workout bonus: 250k ; Cap hit: 10.75M

The restructure turns 9M of his 2013 base salary into a signing bonus prorated over 3 years.

Jet's GM or AGM, please let this thread know confirmation on your end.

Thanks!

The Jets agree to the terms of this trade. This trade saves us $4.4M in cap room.

Approved

Updated Cap Room (Rule of 51): $9,803,801

Was just informed I can't do that with MISC Bonus.... Retry

EDITED
I am having a time with this. Someone pointed out that a players SB couldn't be removed and prorated as I had done, ergo, here's our final attempt at a restructure.

Seattle Seahawks: Restructures Zach Miller, TE
Old Contract
2013: Salary- $6,800,000, SB- $1,000,000, Misc B- $3,200,000
2014: Salary- $4,800,000, SB- $1,000,000, Misc B- $1,200,000
2015: Salary- $2,800,000, SB- $1,000,000, Misc B- $2,200,000
Previous 2013 CAP hit: $11,000,000

Convert $5,940,000 of salary into a prorated bonus of $1,980,000 per year as seen below.

New Restructure
2013: Salary- $880,000, SB- $2,980,000, Misc B- $3,200,000
2014: Salary- $4,800,000, SB- $2,980,000, Misc B- $1,200,000
2015: Salary- $2,800,000,SB- $2,980,000, Misc B- $2,200,000
New 2013 CAP hit: $7,060,000

New 2013 CAP space: $18,335,280 (based on the Thurmond trade) + $3,940,000 = $22,275,280

Done- EZ

Just fixing these:

Terrell Suggs:
Current Contract - 2 years
2013 - 6.4m base, 6.62m in bonus prorations = 13.02m cap hit
2014 - 7.8m base, 4.6m in bonus prorations = 12.4m cap hit

We could take his 2013 base salary and give him the veterans minimum (which is $940,000 for a 10+ year player) making the rest ($5.46m) a signing bonus which would then be split over the 2 years making his new contract:

New Re-structured Contract - 2 years
2013 - 0.94m base, 6.62m in bonus prorations + 2.73m in new signing bonus proration = 10.29m cap hit
2014 - 7.8m base, 4.6m in bonus prorations + 2.73m in new signing bonus proration = 15.13m cap hit

= 2.73m in cap space generated for 2013

Marhsall Yanda:
Current Cap Year: 4.5m base, 2m SB prorations + 950k misc bonus = 7.45m cap hit
New Cap Year: $715k base, , 2m SB prorations + 950k misc bonus + $1.262m New SB prorations = cap hit $4.927m

= 2.523m in cap space generated for 2013

= 5.253m in total cap space generated

2014: 6.5 m (Salary) + 4.7975 million (SB) + 3.5 million (RB)

Aaron Rodgers

2013: 0.405 m (Salary) + 4.9225 m (SB) -> Cap Hit = 5.3475 m -> Cap Saved = 4.9225 m
2014: 10.5 m (Salary) + 4.9225 m (SB) + 1 million (RB)

You cannot move the roster bonus from 13 to 14 via a restructure for Woodson. Also the Vet Min for a player with Woodsons tenure is more than 0.405.

The roster/workout bonus from Rodgers cannot be pushed back a year and the vet min for Aaron is more than 0.405.
