I know this may start a firestorm, but while I agree Peterson should've won the MVP, Watt should've been the recipient of all of Manning's votes. Peterson and Watt just had two historically great seasons, and Watt was as valuable to the Texans as Manning was to the Broncos and Peterson to the Vikings -- which is something you can rarely say about a defensive player.

I view the "League MVP" award as Offensive MVP and the DPOY as Defensive MVP. I know that's technically not what they are and we've had 2 defensive players and a kicker win the league MVP but I think a lot of voters view the awards the same way. Winning DPOY is just as prestigious in my estimation as winning league MVP.
I would have voted for Watt; the season he had is one of the single greatest seasons in the history of the NFL.
I wonder who voted for Von? _________________ big_palooka:

Von Miller had an incredible season but I am not quite sure how anyone would choose him over Watt as the POY. Miller had easily a MVP caliber year it's just Watt was infused with Alien DNA.
I really wish they'd either make the MVP award an even contest or get rid of it. _________________
