Good point that I forgot to mention. I don't think Luck should've had a horse in the race, but that's not putting Luck down as a player at all. He was still the right choice for the #1 pick, and I don't think he'll be below Wilson/RGIII for long. _________________

| As a Seahawks fan... RG3 deserved this. Full season award and Russell didn't turn it on until the 2nd half. That said, Luck wasn't anywhere near the other two... |

Hopefully Kapernick wins Sunday because he wont be winning much next year.
See how easy it is to post a stupid and baseless comment? |
Well you spelled Kaepernick wrong, so maybe its harder then it looks? _________________

My fault. I meant to throw a " " in there at the end. _________________

Wilson turned it way up in the 2nd half of the season though. Luck had no business being mentioned with these to for this award. _________________

Only a homer Seahawks fan would say something like this.
RG3 played on a much worse team and played just AT LEAST as well as Wilson, and IMO, better.
Wilson was very good and definitely deserved more votes than Luck, but RG3 was a pretty easy choice outside of Seattle. |
Let's not bring fandom into this. Or the worse team thing. I don't like any of those arguments.
Anyways, RG3 was consistently great over the whole season, while Wilson was a turd the first half and fire the second. RG3 probably deserved ROY for this season.
It does sting a little to see Luck get more votes than Wilson though. Dang. Either the media doesn't have a high opinion of Wilson or Seattle isn't a big media center! _________________ [quote="aceinthehouse"]

The only reason Luck was even in the race was because of his pre-season hype
There is no way he should have received more votes than Russell Wilson. |

What's really funny is that plays in to it more than you think lol. Griffin plays in a huge market, and although the Colts aren't a big market team, the replacing Peyton Manning factor led to a lot more attention for Luck (along with RGIII and Luck being the top 2 picks).
That's why it was so crucial for Wilson to play well on a national stage in the playoffs. Now that he did, he should be fine going forward as far as exposure/national attention goes. |

Congrats to RG III on the award. Well deserved. Just hope he returns healthy for the 2013 season. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

I would have given it to Wilson but I can see how giving Pete Carroll another reason to act like an NFL Cheerleader might have been bad for business. _________________

Congrats to the kid out of Baylor - hate that he's on a rival but wish him a healthy recovery and look forward to watching him torch my team for the next decade.... _________________

I know which one I would take... _________________

Umm wilson won 11 games(tech 10) with a team with the best defense, loaded running game, and good weapons.
Rg3 won 10 with the refskins bottom 5 in defense, shuffling wrs and tightends.
Rg3 has pretty much won the same number of games with a least talented team. |
