Might make your Mocks more accurate.
83% offense round 5. |
Thanks for throwing this together. Looks great. One little side note, you have two LB for round one shouldn't it be three? Perry, Matthews, and Hawk, right? But again good job, nice to know what TT really values in certain rounds or has yet to really go after. |

Yeah it gets confusing because we remember where they were played at for the Pack. I think Coston played center quite a bit in college.
Perry - you're right - I meant to change. Will do.
Just like Hall who was a FB the position was pretty well know at/after the draft. |

I did something like this with DPs/FAs/Trades and their measurables.

What? | According to the one chart TT is 83% in the 5th, the highest percentage of any of our draft rounds. Round 5 is money. _________________

Talking about TT's draft tendencies, one of the most fascinating tendencies that Waldo once pointed out was TT always drafts OL prospects below a certain time on the 3 cone drill.
Does anyone know what that stat is? _________________

I believe the magic number was 7.65 seconds in the cone drill. Colledge, Sitton, Giacomini, Newhouse, Sherrod, were all below that, Bulaga was a 7.70 and Datko a 7.71 (so could have been sub 7.65 on hand-times) but Spitz, Whittacker, and Coston don't fit the mold.
Don't have times for Lang or Schlauderaff. |

Working on current roster noticed we are not carrying any of Alabama, LSU or Florida Gators on the team.
Working on % from non FBS schools. |

I don't want to bring this old thread back from the dead, so Im quoting it back to here because its highly related.
| ChaRisMa wrote: | Looking over the Wizards career, I noticed a few tendencies from his drafts. The time span includes 2000-2004 in Seattle, and 2005-2010 in Green Bay.
First, Ted Thompson doesn't draft many secondary players under 5'11". Two (Curtis Fuller, 4th Round in 2001, Marviel Underwood, 4th Round in 2005) out of his fifteen Defensive Back selections have been under 5'11". Both played Safety.
Second, Teddy doesn't draft Wide Receivers under 5'11". Of the twelve he has drafted, only one (Darrell Jackson, 2001) is under 6' tall (he is 5'11"). Of those twelve, only two have been taller than 6'2" (Nelson and Alex Bannister a late pick). Also, Ted has yet to have a Wide Receiver drafted in the first three rounds bust. They include Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Greg Jennings, Darrell Jackson, Koren Robinson. (Murphy excluded)
Third, Ted Thompson has NEVER drafted a player in his 84 picks shorter than 5'10" or weighing over 340 pounds. Regardless of position. He really doesn't draft outside of expected sizes for players. No offensive tackles under 6'5" that didn't also play guard (Lang, Barbre, Colledge all 6'4"). No offensive tackles weighing over 320.
Fourth, going against what I just said; Ted isn't afraid to take a Flutie. five of the seven quarterbacks Ted Thompson has drafted have been 6'2" or less. None of them are better than Seneca Wallace or Matt Flynn, but he will draft them.
Not a lot of rare thinking from Ted based in his history. A lot of it could be chalked up to coincidence or just being the way a lot of teams draft. But it is the only evidence we have to go off of with Ted's thinking
Also, the largest tendency I found with Theodore's picks and Free Agent additions is character related and spiritual. Do the research for yourself on that or PM me for a hint.. |
Update: 2 of Ted's 19 secondary players have been under 5'11. Ted hasn't drafted any WR in the first three rounds that has busted (6/6). In 102 picks, he has yet to draft a player under 5'10" or over 340 lbs.
He tends to follow standards on offensive linemen size still and is very much in to high spirituality and character players. _________________

Pretty sure that was the percentage of players on offense or defense for that round. It was 83% offensive positions taken in that round. _________________ GO PACK GO!

While it wasn't a bad pick at the time, Terrence Murphy definitely qualifies as "bust" since he was out of football after a year (due to injury).
Brandon Jackson was officially 5'9 7/8" at the combine, which is technically shorter than 5'10". |

Who was the lightest draft pick? Cobb? The other Rodgers? Bragg? Underwood? _________________ GO PACK GO!
