I would have put him over Vick regardless. I guess technically Flacco is the best FA, but he'll get franchised. _________________

Not surprisingly at this point in their careers I would take Alex over Vick without even giving it much thought. But it is nice to have another good QB not on the market. I really don't know what the odds are at this point, but I'm still wanting us to get a good pick out of trading him away. _________________

Is he on the block? I'd love Poe on this team. We don't see many player for player trades though, so we have that going against us. _________________

Vick has a name though. Some teams who need that spark of excitement might pick Vick over Alex despite the difference in skill right now. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!

Not really sure. But with a new staff and GM, and him not producing much, maybe they cut him loose with a trade that nets them a QB the HC likes and a 2nd round pick. |

Alex Smith, 49ers big winners with Vick off table
Keeping hopes alive for a richer return... | Quote: | Smith earned serious respect in the 49ers' locker room with how he handled his demotion, and we've heard how the Niners now want to do right by him. It's a nice thought, but why exactly should San Francisco be so quick to part ways with Smith, who can be a substantial trade chip?
And let's be clear: When you have the player considered to be the most coveted quarterback on the market, you have a substantial trade chip. |

Sounds good to me.
My top options or ale that make the most sense are the chiefs and Vikings. I think he could take the chiefs to the playoffs. Chefs to me were missing a qb, coach, and a corner. They got 2/3. But they may also need a wr now.
I also think Alex could do very well with the Vikings and make them contenders. Ap is the man, and taking a guy or two out the box could only help. Although with harvin leaving, they have no wrs.
This is going to play out interesting. Just a rode range of possibilities in trades. _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

Just went through the thread before coming back here. I guess it's official, the NFL dead time season has begun. _________________

I haven't been including Flacco as the top QB available because of the fact that either he is getting tagged or getting paid by Baltimore. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!
