Now all we need to do is start a nation wide campaign to get Jim Marshall elected to the Hall of Fame via senior selection.

Carter: "Man, [the Vikings] invested so much time in me. They got me to see the right people. Man, when I got there, I needed a lot of help. Oh my goodness. It was a lot of hard work, but there were a lot of people helping me, not on the football field, but just getting my life together. They really cared about me. I owe everything to the Vikings. What they invested in me was more than money. What they taught me was how to live the rest of my life. I didn't have to be a prisoner to the things that held me back before. That I could finally, finally tap into my athletic ability."

I'm glad I was wrong and he made it through this time. I still don't understand why the HOF committee members had such a difficult time separating him, Andre Reed, and Tim Brown. They were on completely separate, easily discernable levels. As I stated before, I don't see Tim Brown as a HOFer. He might get in at some point, but to me he was just a good WR, not a great one. I'd put Marvin Harrison (eligible next year) in before I'd put Tim Brown in.

I dunno, I think Tim Brown deserves to get in, same with Andre Reed but I do agree with you that I would put Marvin in before Tim

I can see the argument for Brown but I cant justify Reed.
