I'm just curious as to what Atlanta fans think of this. Brandt believes 4/10 NFL executives would prefer Jones over Johnson, but I think that's a fairly bullish estimate and wonder if even 4/10 Falcons fans think he's the better receiver, so I thought I'd post this here to get an idea.
Brandt justifies his explanation by citing dropped passes (11 for Johnson, 8 for Jones), especially on third downs (5 Johnson, 2 Jones). He says Jones has better hands and is more fluid, though he credits Johnson for being taller and faster. I mostly agree with his assessments on these latter points, but I think the drops statistics are somewhat blurred by the disparity in pass targets between the two; Johnson dropped 11 of his 205 targets (5.37%) while Jones dropped 8 of his 129 (6.20%). _________________

I honestly think Jones is faster. But between the two Calvin is better right now. Jones has more potential though. _________________

Johnson > Jones. With that being said, I'd take Jones if I'm starting a franchise. Easily. Reason: Johnson will be 28 this season compared to 23 for Jones. _________________

Jones actually turns 24 in two days. Happy (almost) birthday, Julio. _________________

For some reason, I thought we were in June. _________________

Calvin now. Calvin 5 years from now, and I absolutely love Julio.
Calvin is the 2nd best receiver in the past 20 years. _________________

Calvin Johnson, without a doubt. If we were comparing anyone else to Julio, I would take a second to think about it, but CJ is the LeBron James of Football. He's the best receiver I've ever seen, bar-none. _________________

I agree with you. But I think you avi/sig/username disqualify you for this one. lol _________________

Calvin is second or third all time at least by the end of his career. Julio could have a HOF career and still not match up to Megatron IMO.
Both are great in any fashion... _________________

More potential than CJ? Calvin Johnson has the potential to go down as the greatest WR of all time...
Maybe Julio can be mentioned with the greats one day, but to say he has more potential than CJ is a little premature. _________________

Hey! I looked at it objectively and came to the same conclusion that any reasonable human would reach; Calvin Johnson is the best receiver in the league right now, and has a chance as going down as the GOAT. That's something special. _________________

Lions fan trying to pimp Johnson some more. He is the best receiver in the league. But Julio isn't anywhere near Johnson's level. Maybe one day but not right now. _________________
