Oakland Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will receive an increase in his base salary in 2013 because of incentives in his contract. Ford will go from $630,000 to $1.323 million. |
This was reported by KFFL.com. I would have to say "for what"? The guy was hurt for the better part of the year and he gets a bump in salary because he reached incentives? I would like to know what incentives he could have possibly reached while on IR. That sounds like a bad clause written into that contract. _________________

Obviously because he had already reached it in his first 2 years. _________________

LOL
Maybe he just had to reach incentives in any year of his contract in order to get a raise? Or maybe he did something his rookie year, last year, or in both years combined? IDK, if not then I am confused. _________________

| Maybe because he clearly outperformed his 4th round contract as a rookie. It's 600k which is not much for a football player. and hopefully he comes out and plays well this year because we need him as a returner and at receiver |

Maybe it's because he reached the 4th year of his rookie contract without being cut? _________________

Probably special-teams TDs
That's the only thing I could think of. |

Surely receptions, yardage, TDs, etc. When he's played, he's played better than his 4th round grade would indicate. _________________

+1. It seems like people forgot. I also told everybody not to get too excited after the good year he had when many called him our #1.
Would have been a big help over the middle. Streater is an outside receiver who played slot. If Palmer had thrown a cleaner pass in SD on TNF the fool problems wouldn't have started. _________________

But your right the underthrown ball started all this(even though some speculate it was JC leaving), but it's not all Palmers fault ford is built like a sprinter. |

Hard to blame Palmer for Ford getting yet another injury. But I think you do have a point in that Palmer will really hang his receivers out to dry sometimes. _________________
