Kent Somers @kentsomers
#azcardinals president Michael Bidwill: We'll run a 3-4 but mix in some different fronts. http://bit.ly/WE7sg3
Glad to hear it will still be the main one. Just did not see the players to run a 4-3 main. _________________

It wasn't our main defense last year so how can it "stay" the main defense? We were, for the most part, a base nickel team running our of either the 2-4-5 or 4-2-5 alignments with the same personnel. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

You cannot say you run a base Nickel in the NFL.
Maybe if you are in college like TCU and New Mexico used too
It just isn't done. |

Well, we just did it. And succeeded.
Doesn't/didn't Green Bay primarily run a nickel, too? |

Most teams run it as a base.
But they say they are 4-3 or 3-4
I am yet to hear a DC hired because they run a great Nickel D, they are all experts in the above first and put that on their resume.
Then play what they need to each game. |

Agreed. Our run defense was just plain BAD a lot of the time. There are 2 things that could improve that.
1. Play Dan Williams. The guy produced quite well when he saw the field.
2. Upgrade Paris Lenon
And you'd hope Acho and Schoefield take the next step and learn to contain the edge, especially Acho. |

Kinda agruing semantics semantics here. Whether a coach says it or not, we were clearly a base nickel defense. That's the product we put on the field. _________________
