i think he could still play for 2 more years & be productive as a 3-4th option on a lot of teams...
but with that said, what is he really going to accomplish elsewhere for 2 more years?
& the teams that would be interested in him probably have 0 shot at winning a ring...
i think maybe DD realized that the market wasn't going to be kind to him at this stage in his career & had a pretty easy choice to make in the end |

With all the Vikings rumors that came up, I was worried but shouldn't have been. What a classy individual, it will great seeing #80 in only Green and Gold. _________________

do you guys think he makes the ring of honor?
I think its going to be harder than most of us think...
hes going to be inducted in the packers HOF easily... but there is only 1 name on the ring that isn't in the HOF (yet) & its Ron Wolf
i just highly doubt DD ever gets into canton which ultimately doesn't get him in the ring. but if there is ever a player to make that exception for, its DD. |

Answered your own question. He won't make the Hall of Fame. So no, he won't be in the ring of honor. _________________ GO PACK GO!

Hall of Fame isn't enough to get on the Ring of Honor. To be on our ring you gotta change the game.
DD was the man and you'll have to tell your grand kids about him. _________________

| Year too late. Would have been nice to use that money elsewhere this past season. Good example of retaining an old guy a year too long. Had a great career and should find plenty to keep him busy going forward! |

i would understand this line of thinking if he was getting what Woodson is scheduled to get this year... but DD made a measly 2.5ish mill restructured on a 1 year farewell deal... if anything he saved us about 2 mill on the cap by restructuring
wasn't like he held the team hostage with that deal & TT couldn't resign anyone because of DD
although i agree it was a year too late since DD did next to nothing in production... but i'm not so sure even the coaches knew how little he was going to play between this time to August last year |
