Who in the Worild would want an OLB who can't get sacks from beating tackles? |
3Rivers has the thought process people will want to trade good pieces for our trash! |
I mean I bet we could convince the Cardinals... |

We should have plenty of extra picks to move up for Jones after we trade Colon! _________________

Jarvis Jones, Werner, Moore, Ansah, Jordan or any other OLB type won't start over Jason Worilds.
Its funny how this guy gets bashed on here likes it's his fault the defense isn't generating pressure. But I don't see J. Harrison moving to LOLB when Woodley is out or vice versa.
I could understand if J. Worilds played half the season and did nothing but that's not the case. I believe Jason Worilds has some ability maybe not more then the players listed above. But he has talent and this whole he has beaten a LT is a witch hunt. I don't know if there were any back OLBs that got there team 5 sacks in spot duty. While only starting less then a handful of games.
But Worilds isn't why I wanted to comment. J. Jones is a great talent, but he's older then you'd like. If Harrison is retained for another season just like Ansah he'll be 25 when he gets his first real playing time. _________________

NFL docs have cleared Jones of any health concerns.
https://twitter.com/Gil_Brandt/statuses/301500852751978498
He may not be a Steeler in April, but it won't be because of health related worries.
The stenosis issue can be put to rest. _________________

actually, he's never beaten ANY OT, right or left side, for a sack in the NFL. Not a witch hunt, it's reality. Rewatched every sack in his NFL career. Only time he got a sack against an OT was when the QB scrambled out of the pocket away from the left side and ran right into him.
You are correct, none of those players would start over Worilds, but that's only because our DC hates rookies. _________________

For the limited playing time Worilds has recieved he's still generating 10 sacks. Unfortunately for him he was injured to start the season which didn't help his cause.
Worilds will do fine as his sack totals have increased each season. His 3rd season of course being the best as he has the understanding of his position. Plus if he does take over he'll be able to focus on one position instead of 2. _________________

At least he beats some players. Not all gil-dong sacks.
But do not worry about Jones. He is a top 5-10 player if there are no concerns. The Steelers will not get a shot. _________________

Gildon has 72 sacks that's a lot for any player! _________________

Gildon had most of those sacks without beating anyone. I was pointing out that Worlds can beat TE and runningbacks which is more than Gildon could do and Timmons did for a long while. _________________

While I tend to agree, the same thing was said about DeCastro last year. |

I say this with full confidence of it being true.
If Jarvis begins to slide and makes it to be pick #13; The Steelers will trade up and draft him.
Why pick #13? Why not? It's 4 picks, at that point we might be able to get a 'cheaper swap' and if he's edging that close...you gotta get him. Think Darrelle Revis.. |

Anything's possible for sure, so talking in absolutes is only for effect.
Correct phrasing would have been something like "highly improbable"...but I didn't want to sound like a complete lerp.
Damn semantics.
The fact that a rush LB is far more valuable than an OG makes it far more improbable than the DD "fall". _________________
