Honestly a pretty herp derp statement |
Sorry Mr. Horton, the answer we were looking for was "oblong men that can weave and cylindrical men that can propagate"
We also would have accepted "Chuck Norris"... _________________

The biggest thing I took away is that Horton is going to play to our defensive players' strengths, and not take a "Come hell or high water we're running a ____ scheme" like Shurmur did with the West Coast. |
The sign of intelligence
Thank god |
IMO pretty ignorant to say that the other way is un-intelligent
as long as the team gets more than 2 years to fill the scheme with players that fit it, it should work
see Bill Walsh |
Yes, and the QB needs time to learn a complex system...see Brett Favre and others |
You coach to fit the talent you have.
Yes, if you come in to a job with the perfect talent to fit your system, then run it.
When you have a hodge podge and may not have the guys you want, you have to adjust.
This game is more about adjustments than anything. And not just on the field adjustments. |
Exactly!
But how do you adjust an offense that has 5 major role players with a combined one year of NFL experience? _________________

I think of that Miami vs. Arizona game from earlier this year. The one where Hartline looked like Jerry Rice. |
Those big plays (Specifically the 80 yard TD) were defensive secondary miscommunications. There will need to be a veteran in the secondary (most likely the SS) that is going to be able to communicate X's and O's and matchups well. There is a lot of pre-snap adjustment from the secondary in this defense.
To expand on the little guys who can hit big guys who can run. He added here, we know the big guys can hit, but how well do the move? We know the little guys can run, but how well do the hit, how willing are they to hit. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
