Watching Rudolf in the pro bowl shows to me how good is ponder. He had a TD and over 100 yards. I think he should have those type of stats each game.

The prowbowl is a worse way of evaluating talent than the preseason. Laughing

He's so good you can't even spell his name right! Also where is this draft database you speak of?

He could get those types of stats, but he also needs WR's to open up passing lanes for him, he doesn't have the get open ability or body control yet that some TE's do, even though I think he can develop it, getting a WR like Patterson, Williams, or Hopkins (or Hunter or Allen) who can stretch the field will open up the seam route in our offense for Rudolph which would be huge.

Lets not use Pro Bowl as a game to evaluate players.
QBs get extra time in the pocket, defenders barely defending the man.
Theres also the thing about top QBs throwing the balls.

I don't get the title?

Kyle Rudolph is a great player who should only continue to improve.

However, he's currently 1 of 2 downfield threats at TE or WR, with Jarius Wright being the other one.

For both Rudolph, and Ponder to be successful, we'll need more help on the outside.

With that said, If we could draft a guy like Keenan Allen or Justin Hunter, and maybe pickup Greg Jennings (who can play on the outside or in the slot) or Dwayne Bowe, our whole offense could really get going.

We don't need elite talent for our offense to succeed, we just need real talent, and guys like Michael Jenkins, Devin Aromashadu and Stephen Burton just don't cut it as your starting recievers.

Dream Scenario:

1. Greg Jennings
2. Keenan Allen/Justin Hunter
3. Percy Harvin (#3 because he normally lines up in the slot, not a downfield threat)
4. Jarius Wright
5. Stephen Burton
6. Greg Childs

1. Kyle Rudolph
2. Jordan Reed?
3. Rhett Ellison

I dont think we need to sign a top Free Agent WR + draft a WR very high + extend Harvin. (when you still have Wright + Rudolph)

Seems a bit overkill to me, when you have AP needing to get his share of the ball in his hands. We still have lots of holes.

I see 3 scenarios (with my expected % outcomes):

Draft a (R1 or R2) WR + extend Harvin + (Wright + Rudolph) - 60%

Sign a very good FA WR + extend Harvin + (Wright + Rudolph) - 25%

Draft a WR in R3 + extend Harvin + Wright + Rudolph - 10%

Sign a very good FA WR + (trade Harvin for 1st) + draft a (R1 WR) + (Wright + Rudolph) - 5%

Signing a very good is going to be hard enough (even with cap space)

The title doesn't even fit the topic being discussed in the OP. Plus, there is already a draft chat going on here:
