No..please not another Pryor thread..
Back on topic I don't think he's good at all and would be a step back in the QB position.
I much rather roll with palmer and his millions. |

It's crazy to me that Smith is the same age as Brandon Weeden. Seems like Alex has been in the league for 100 years.
Harbaugh got the most out of him. I don't know what to think of him playing outside their system.
Has he improved or was it just Harbaugh? I tend to think the latter. _________________

| Maybe he signs with the Browns, Alex Smith was actually solid under Norv Turner when he was 49ers OC. |

Alex Smith was only good because of Harbaugh IMO. Without him, we know what he's capable of doing.... or not doing. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

| With so many needs, it seems to me that QB is not worth the team's resources right now. |

Yeah... Carson isn't going anywhere next season and neither is Pryor. We need defense. _________________ RIP Layne Staley. Your wings are no longer denied.

And a QB, WR, RT, KR/PR, CB, RDE, NT, LB
Really can't go wrong with any pick. _________________

Yes and no..
LB would be a mistake generally. Not my point, which was meant to be this:
The position doesn't matter. The pick must be an impact all pro level guy. Otherwise, we ain't getting better. More than anything we simply lack the presence and impact of any great players of any kind at any position. I really don't care what position he plays, but McKenzie and Allen cannot miss on this pick.
AFA Alex Smith, no.
With Palmer here, Pryor here, and possibly looking at Geno Smith, what in the world do we need to be looking at Smith for? As if we do not have enough to do in FA signing the few guys we need to get back and potentially signing other guys at other positions. I mean we are pretty much sitting with a bare cupboard at alot of positions. QB, in FA, falls well out of the realm of crucial for us right now. Especially for a guy like Smith, who I really struggle to see making our team any better. |

I disagree. He played great when Norv was the OC. I do this deal in a heartbeat and try to get as much as possible for Palmer. How much money do we save against the cap with Smith instead of Palmer? _________________

Norv was the 49er OC before he got the Charger HC gig. _________________
