The read option is not a requirement of someone to be our backup. Derek Anderson would look pathetic running the read option and he's been our backup. The game Joe Webb played this year; he looked pathetic. I don't think I would want him as a part of our team.
I think we should look at drafting someone in the mid rounds this year to groom to be the backup.
