I would agree with those caps for Ellerbe and McKinnie.
Having McKinnie still on the team means we don't have to reach for a LT or give away too many picks to trade up for 1 of the top 3. _________________

So barring any setbacks/people bidding our tagged players, we should have four days of rest from this before it picks back up.
And even then our main focus should probably be to bid on McKinnie and Ellerbe with reasonable bids.
I think we should bid the minimum for McKinnie (940k) and $3m straight up on Ellerbe. Since its a 12 hour window, we should be looking to strike fast with Ellerbe while others are still focusing on higher impact players.
That's probably our best chance at sneaking him back onto the roster. But our bid probably has to also be high enough to keep any on-looker from just throwing something out there to compete with us. So I'm thinking $2.5-3m might be enough to accomplish that. _________________

We still need to officially cut Bobbie Williams and decide what we're doing with Matt Birk _________________

Are there any RFAs out there that we are interested in? I know Ozzie loves his draft picks and wouldn't be likely to give up a pick to sign a guy when we have our own guys left to sign, but if there are any good values out there, I wouldn't totally be opposed. _________________

I honestly haven't checked. We're tight on the cap and I don't know. Probably not too many cases where even the best value/pick differential is going to be a good value- for us.
Though if you see a name that deserves some consideration, I'd definitely be welcomed to seeing it. _________________

We were able to retain Ed Reed via the franchise tag. So our starting safeties are already set and we can address that depth via the draft/FA. _________________

Greetings,
A few issues have arisen, and we are working to correct the issues. Estonianzulu has alerted us that he's going to have spotty internet connection for the next month, so as a result CWood21 is heading up FFMD. Also, TheVillain112 will be running free agency. Any issues regarding the general running of FFMD should be directed at CWood21 and concerns regarding free agency should be sent to TheVillain112 with properly titled PMs with clear thought processeses.
The timeline has been a bit lax due to circumstances that couldn't be foreseen, so as a result the timeline is being adjusted. Here's the new schedule.
| Quote: | February 7th- 10 PM- Tender/Closes for EFRA/RFA/Franchise Players
February 12th- 8 AM- Contract Offers Open for tendered players
February 13th- 10 PM- Contract Offers Close for Tendered players
February 14th- 10 AM- Teams able to match contracts for Tendered Players
February 14th- 10 PM- Unmatched players transferred, matched contracts final
February 15th 10:00 AM- Talent Agency Opens Tier 1
February 16th- 8:00 PM- Talent Agency Closes Tier 1
February 16th- 10:00 PM- Tier 1 Signings announced
February 16th- 10:01 PM- Talent Agency Opens Tier 2
February 17th- 8:00 PM- Talent Agency Closes Tier 2
February 17th- 10:00 PM- Tier 2 Signings announced
February 18th- 10:01 PM- Talent Agency Opens Tier 3
February 19th- 8:00 PM- Talent Agency Closes Tier 3
February 19th- 10:00 PM- Tier 3 Signings announced
February 20th- 8:00 AM- Shark Tank Opens
February 25th- 8:00 PM- Shark Tank Closes
February 26th- 8:00 AM- Draft Begins |
Any issues with the timeline need to be addressed ASAP to CWood21. Waiting until the issue arises will not help the cause.
Finally, we'd like to remind you that this is a group effort. Any staff member who is acting without the majority approval of his staff will be removed from his or her position after research into the incident. Consider this your final warning, regardless of whether or not you've stepped out of line before.
Thanks for your understanding,
Management |

Just to bring everyone up to speed on the current absurdities going on in FFMD-land, this apparently is/was a legitimate trade discussion:

How a team in the cap shape of the Redskins can even begin to discuss this deal is beyond me. In terms of Robert Griffin III it actually increases his 2013 cap hit by 5.5M and they bring on a further 10.5M in salaries while only dumping the 8.3M of DeAngelo Hall.
Just don't see this happening, too many cap implications for the Redskins. |
