Harbour. | I guess you don't think Chaney can start? Because I think he would be a nice option at the WLB position. Better than most free agents. Covers very well. Does nothing in the run game but that is what Dunbar and Laurinaitis are for.
I just don't see Harbor as a starting TE. _________________

I don't see Chaney starting. If he can't break into the Eagles lineup there's little doubt he would do anything with us. Harbour emerged as a weapon when Celek was out and earned serious PT. I feel like he offers us more scheme diversity from 12 personnel. In addition to being another weapon for Sam. But either way, I won't go against Chaney if he's the popular vote but I'd rather have Harbour. _________________

We'll go with Harbor then since everyone agreed to it a couple pages ago. I'm submitting the deal right now. _________________

Apparently, the deadline for re-signing our free agents was last "evening." Whenever that is. This was news to me since it was NOT in the dedicated schedule thread. We actually submitted our offer to keep Amendola last "evening" but it was too late.
I have a big problem with this. _________________

Fun Fact: Myself and Ramsfan28 went to school with Clay Harbor at Missour State. He was in our program and in a bunch of our classes. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but a pretty down to earth, chill kind of guy... _________________

In case anyone is wondering, here's the contract:
| Gambino62 wrote: | Danny Amendola, WR St. Louis Rams
Contract Details: 4 years, $20.5 million, $8mil guaranteed, with bonus incentives for $3mil
2014: $2mil salary + $2mil signing bonus + $750K incentive bonus*
Cap Hit:$4.75mil
2015: $2mil salary + $2mil signing bonus + $750K incentive bonus*
Cap Hit:$4.75mil
2016: $2.5mil salary + $2mil signing bonus + $750K incentive bonus*
Cap Hit:$5.25mil
2017: $3mil salary + $2mil signing bonus + $750K incentive bonus*
Cap Hit:$5.75mil
*Each year, Danny has the potential for 2 escalators in his contract. The first escalator requires Danny to play in all 16 games in a season. If he plays in all 16 games, he receives an additional $250K. There is also a contract bonus if he has 75+ catches in a season; he receives another $500K. Total incentives range at $750mil per year.
Comparable contracts:
Eddie Royal, WR San Diego: 3yrs, $13.5mil, $6mil guaranteed
Davone Bess, WR Miami: 3 years, $9.35mil, $3mil guaranteed
Lance Moore, WR New Orleans: 5 years, $20mil, $7mil guaranteed
We here in St. Louis wish to keep Danny Amendola around for years to come as we value what he brings to the table. He has tirelessly worked his way from practice squad player to one of our most consistent threats on offense. For all he brings to the team on and off the field, we want to compensate Danny fairly. We have taken the contracts given to Eddie Royal, Lance Moore and Davon Bess in the offseason and given Danny more money per year average over a better period of time with more guaranteed money. We believe Danny has performed like a quality receiver but with the injury history and the fact he is mainly a slot receiver we feel our contract is more than fair. We give Danny the option to bump up his money with health and catch incentives. We want Danny to be here for the long haul and ensure that Sam Bradford has one of his favorite security blankets around to help balance out our offense. We cant wait to see him back again in horns. |
