Is that acceptable ? Yes the regular season wins are there and we have been in playoffs 4 years out of 5 but with a playoff record of 1-4 . Is that acceptable to just stay on the beaten path and hope that the consistency will eventually pay off. We were one play away from the Super Bowl . So close but yet so far away .
Did some research of QB/COACH/GM tenure
2011-Super Bowl winner NY Giants
Jerry Reese became GM of 2007 NY Giants . They went on to win a Super Bowl in 07
but 5 years later they also won another one with Coughlin/Manning combo
Reese-2007
Coughlin -2004
Eli Manning -2004
Only a 4 year SPAN of coach /QB to win a Super Bowl together
2010 Green Bay Packers
GM -Ted Thompson - 2005
HC- Mike McCarthy - 2006
QB- Aaron Rodgers -2005
5 year time span before THEY WON A RING but Rodgers only started 3 years

Only one team a year wins the Super Bowl, so chances are you're right. But that doesn't mean Blank should jump ship and get rid of Ryan, Smith, and/or Dimitroff. That would be incredibly foolish. We've got a real good thing going here. Don't take it for granted.

Like SD Chargers thought they had a good thing with Phillip Rivers . Eventually the regular season success will come to a complete stop . Then were going to have to make a choice does the regular season success in the past that the three have built enough be enough credit in the bank to keep down the same beaten path . If Falcons fail to make playoffs next year a 9-7 season lets say and some injuries. We all agree no 1 is getting fired but what about 2014 but another repeat of that ? is that cause for firings.
With that said 1 playoff win in 5 years is nothing to hang your hat about but the 5 straight regular season winning records is impressive |

It was his fifth season as coach as it was the '07 Super Bowl, the '06-'07 season. He was hired in the '02-'03 season.
