Steelers are aware that you're trying to move back into the first. We'd like to move back from our current first. In the interest of fairness (Draft Value Chart) we could make this deal with you; if you like.
Our 1st
for
Your 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
By ruling, you would technically need to give up your 5th to completely equal the vale; but I'd be happy with 2nd, 3rd and 4th. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

I'm talking to the Chargers about moving up to their pick right now. Probably not going to happen but if it did we could go after Q-02 or C-08 _________________

How does everyone feel about this deal?
Donald Stephenson, Jon Asamoah, 2nd, 3rd, 5th
for
#11 and Chargers 5th
Before saying yes or no, consider that if Asamoah is traded we'd just move Moore over to his natural position at RG and start Allen at LG. Other than that we are giving up a 2nd and 3rd rounder (and moving down 10 spots in the 5th round) to move up to just outside of the top 10 in the draft and draft Q-02. Yes, our O-Line would be slim on depth, but we are adding a potential difference maker for the next 10 years in Q-02, and someone who also fills a longterm need that would go hand in hand with our 1st pick we made. Think about it.
Chargers still going to look it over, not even sure if they'd be on on board. _________________

Did you look to see who Q-02 is? He would help cover for the loss we had this FA and also help create a tandem with M-01 for the next 10 years. We can't fall into the trap of not being aggressive in helping M-01 out to make our team a potential superbowl contender. But this isn't a move where we are overpaying in my opinion, because Q-02 is that good of a prospect. Our O-Line is still going to be borderline top 10 in Albert-Allen-Hudson-Moore-Winston.
If you still say no, it's fine and understood. Also want to see what other people think.
It's still unlikely considering we'd have to have most people on board and the Chargers would, but I'm a fan of this move for sure. I think Q-02 is a legit prospect and that we aren't giving up too much to get him. And the added bonus of him making M-01 perform better and less likely to bust is a boost as well, but they'd also both help each other and fit well in our offense. _________________

We wouldn't be getting Julio Jones. There's not a Julio Jones in this draft. If there was, he would've gone #1. We shouldn't be trading up just for the sake of trading up. If there is a specific guy that we are targeting, we need to study and see who the likely teams are to take that guy and jump in front of them. That doesn't seem to be the case at all here. Sit still at #34 IMO. _________________

I have done the research. We are jumping 2 spots ahead of the team that would draft him and the team below the Chargers isn't willing to trade down all the way to us. It's easy to say anyone isn't a Julio Jones in hindsight, but this guy has the potential and tools to be just as good as Julio Jones to help our 1st overall QB out to create a dynamic duo for the next 10 years. This guy has everything you'd physically want in a WR, he just isn't polished yet. Even knowing that, he'd still be our best WR from day 1 because he's that talented. And as it stands now we are placing a lot of pressure on Geno with the WR's we are giving him. Our O-line is still just as good as it was last year if not better after this trade. We are just slim on depth which can be made up easily. Getting a WR prospect like this doesn't happen very often. Making up for depth is something that can be done with the cap space we have. _________________

Since they pick early tomorrow and we'd have to go through the trade council, but more importantly since we don't have a majority ruling here, the trade is off.
Going to hope Q-02 falls a little more and try and look into trade options tomorrow. I don't have a problem staying with our 2nd rounder, just think that Q-02 would be a great addition to our team, personally. _________________

Just wondering how everyone would feel giving up something like this to move up and draft Q-02:
Our 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, and next years 1st rounder. Might have a potential deal in the works. It has us winning by 55 value, but the player we are getting would make a huge impact to our team right away, and his potential is also limitless. Just look at our depth chart and consider what he would do for our team. FFMD wise we are giving up just two picks that we can use. _________________
