KANSAS CITY CHIEFS FFMD WAR ROOM '13
Since I was the only one who signed up for GM, I was given the position. I'll make our main page look better tonight with more useful links and other things. Right now you can sign up if you are interested in being a part. It'd be awesome if everyone was involved. The more people, the better. Just state what position you want, and list one or two alternate positions just in case. The positions are listed below with some detail about them. Let's have some fun.
FFMD '13 Rules & Schedule Thread:
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=15510792#15510792
Staff:
General Manager: simonwayne
Assistant General Manager: OILCHIEFS
Head Coach: ptbarcus
Capologist: samsel23
QB Scout: rearviewmirror
OL Scout: jeffs66
Advisor: Mikek163
Advisor: KCWolf1
Staff Positions:
| Quote: | General Manager – Will make all of the final decisions and is in control of everything ranging from submitting trades to making draft picks. However, this position weighs equally amongst the staff in terms of opinion and everyone’s say should be accounted for before he determines the best route for the team. Each member will greatly influence his decisions.
Assistant GM – 2nd in line to the GM and assists the GM in all areas. He will explore trade options around the league and all trade offers are directed through him to then announce in the war room for discussion. If the GM is unavailable the Assistant GM is able to make draft picks and post UFA bids. Only the GM and Assistant GM have this ability. Becomes the active GM in the absence of the nominated GM.
Capologist – This person is in charge of maintaining and keeping tabs of the salary information of the team. At all times the team must maintain a budget in regards to the annual revenue the team brings in. The responsibility for correct figures will lie in his hands and an excel spreadsheet for constant updating is usually helpful. A 53 man roster must be maintained as well.
Head Coach – Has a key part in all decisions, but his focus is mainly on the team itself, rather than looking for trade options, etc… The draft board and player targets should be of importance to him as adding players he views as a fit for his system is critical.
Offensive Coordinator - Works with the Head Coach to help build the best team on the offensive side of the ball. Wants to find players that fit his offensive scheme.
Defensive Coordinator - Works with the Head Coach to help build the best team on the defensive of the ball. Wants to find players that fit his defensive scheme.
Director of College Scouting – Helps decide needs and works with the national scouts to develop a big board for the draft.
President of Player Personnel – Is responsible for developing a free agency target list. Projecting trades with other teams and reviewing players on all levels both college and pro.
Director of Media Relations - Will report to the writers with feedback and information relative to the news of what is happening with the organization.
National Scout - Will evaluate draftable players. There are 4 offensive and 4 defensive positions listed. Depending on how many people sign up, we may have scouts take one position on each side of the ball.
Advisor - Anyone that just wants to help out and give advice throughout the process. |
Trade Block:
1st overall pick
Tamba Hali - Late 1st rounder, early 2nd rounder
Matt Cassel - 7th rounder
Tyson Jackson - 3rd rounder
Jonathan Baldwin - late 2nd rounder, early 3rd rounder
Steve Breaston - 4th rounder
Andy Studebaker - 6th rounder
Current Cap Space: (Updated as of all FA signings)

Congrats on the position. I like to think they chose you due to an excellent scouting background and an underrated ability in contract signing. Just like Pio... NVM
That being said I would love to be the AGM if you'll have me. I've been doing FFMD for a few years now and I was the GM of FFMDII last year so I do have some experience.
We're gonna kill it again this year!

Can I apply for the Scott Pioli position? You know, the one where I purposely try to screw up as much as I possibly can? That'd be my dream job. _________________

Haha, you can channel your inner Scott Pioli and provide an answer to the question of "What Would Scott Pioli Do?" And we will try to do the furthest thing from that. _________________

If Ryk does the S.P. thing - I'll be the dedicated candy wrapper picker ...
Seriously: I'll hang in there, provide some nifty comments ... and support anyone who's going to do the cap etc.
I won't do it myself though ... we need some more guys digging into the weeds of the CBA ... _________________ Be it known that this day, January 4, be known as Reid Friday from now until ... well, as long as it lasts ... |
