You think someone's giving you a first rounder for a 31 year old TE?

Not that I think that's what he's looking for, but you did give up a 2nd for a 33 year old TE so let's not act like age is some scary factor.

Gonzalez isn't your normal 33 year old football player.

that was the greatest TE of all time. Witten isn't even close to what Gonzalez was in his prime. So let's not even go there.

Where did I compare anything other than age? He acted like 31 was old for a TE and I pointed out that you guys traded for Gonzo at 33 and got several high level years out of him.

Anyways - like I said - I don't expect a 1st for him to answer the original question but I'll leave it open to discussion for you guys. I think there's a lot of potential for a trade that is mutually beneficial to both teams.

guys a current offer I have pretty much done. Just need everyone's ok.

ATL gets:
TE Jermichael Finley

GB gets:
ATL's 2nd round pick

thoughts?

makes sense to me because we gave up a higher pick for Gonzo.. Also Finley is just 26 years old heading into next year. He's an average run blocker, but he has speed in teh receiving game and over his last 3 full seasons has averaged 55+ catches, 700+ yards and 5 TD's despite being the 4th or even 5th option in GB's offense. He's got the speed to stretch the middle of the field in the seam too.

I am a big NO on that trade. What happened to a 4th for Finley? 2nd round is way too high for a guy with below average hands and terrible blocking skills. He also didn't seem like the same athlete he once was after his injury.

This. I personally think Finley is garbage, but anything above a 4th is robbery.

Awww, I remember when a certain Packers fan was trying to argue Finley > Fitzgerald. Good times.

just sent in the Ryan and Moore offers. Hopefully both are accepted. If they are, we'll be sitting REALLY pretty with just 3 starters on offense from 2012 gone (McClure, Gonzalez and Turner)
