Current Falcons cap situation.
$6,413,539.67 under the cap
My Falcons cap recommendations:
Cut:
RB Michael Turner - savings $6,900,000
Restructure:
CB Dunta Robinson - savings $4,706,666.67
OG Justin Blalock - savings $2,745,000
Extend:
Matt Ryan - savings $6,000,000 (if we get the extension term I propose)
Total savings + current cap: $26,765,206.34 under.
That's enough money to bring back William Moore very easily with a deal similar to Eric Weddle's as our FA re-signing offer. Then we would be able to franchise a guy if we wanted but I wouldn't want to use it. _________________

As of right now, I'm in talks for Jermichael Finley for a 4th. He's worth it and honestly, the cap would be easily absorbed with the cap moves I suggested without hurting our shot at re-signing Moore. _________________

Any objections to the following moves?
Restructure:
Justin Blalock - saves $2,745,000
Dunta Robinson - saves $4,706,666.67
Cut:
Michael Turner - saves $6,900,000
These moves would bring the cap to where we are under by 20.765 million _________________

went ahead and cut Turner.
will post the re-structures whenever we can. figured no one would disagree to opening up $7.45 Million in restructures and 6.9M in a single cut. _________________

Happy with the Robinson restructure. I didn't want to cut him and open up another hole on the team. _________________

As per before, I wouldn't re-structure Blalock. The thought of him with a $9m cap charge in 2014 is unappealing to me. I'd re-structure White (slightly less cap saved, but less pain down the road).
Turner and Robinson are obvious musts.
Won't hold it up though as the majority seems to agree with you. _________________

Just to ensure we are all in agreement on tags. My proposals:
ERFA
Robert McClain - Tendered at $615,000 for 1 year
RFA
Michael Palmer - No Tender (re-sign in shark tank)
Antone Smith - No Tender (re-sign if required)
- NB; because they were UDFAs, we would need to tag them at a 2nd round level ($1,927,000) to stop them being stolen. I don't think they are worth that much, so let's just grab them in the shark tank.
Franchise Tag
William Moore - $6,798,000 for 1 year
- I think we have to play this as if Tony is retiring. Otherwise he would be obvious tag.
- Grimes would be over $12m to tag again.
- No-one else is even close to be valuable enough to tag.
- Byrd will be tagged by Buffalo, and the 49ers war room seems to be suggesting they may tag Goldson. That would leave Moore as the #2 S (#1 strong safety) on the market, and I don't want to expose him when the tag is a relatively sensible price (within FFMD costs) _________________
